92 this morning.  We got to 91°  yesterday and may reach 99°  today.  It is kind of overcast but that will probably clear up.
At our house up on the mountain we had some large cottonwood trees right next to the house and a couple of times we had a big branch fall on the house but the damage was minimal.  Here we have trees in the yard but nothing right next to the house, we had the one that was next to it removed because it was a threat.
Grammabear, I don't know about any requirement from Medicare to have a three month doctor's appointment.  Is that because you are a type 1 ?

Yes, Wally, it is because I am Type 1 and Medicare pays for 80% of the insulin for my pump.  Most times my GP does very little in managing my diabetes except to write the prescription.  And many people are slightly annoyed to have to see the Dr so often.  But you have to play the game by their rules.

111 this sunny morning.

60° was the high yesterday with rain showers, today's forecasts is 76°/48° it looks t be a much warmer day.

I was going to ask the same thing Wally. My pcp only sees me once a year since he declared me cured of diabetes...

84 this morning.

We are supposed to be being hit by a cyclone. The satellite images are scary, but I don't see anything more than a drizzle, so far. Hoping that it stays that way.

213 this morning.

Gosh, my CGM was off by nearly 100 points this morning. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

I don't know what Medicare is going to do following this flu scare. There are major questions over billing for phone visits on top of their usual garbage. I know there's a huge amount of fiddling around with patient records going on right now and "rules" changing almost daily. No idea how they'll deal with the three-month rule Grammabear mentions. For the most part it's impossible to maintain any kind of social distancing in medical offices and both insurance companies and government medical authorities are waffling on whether or not to cover only video (Skype, FaceTime, etc.) appointments or to include visits by phone (how do you see a cardiologist via either one, for example?) What a mess...

125 this morning ~ thanks to some mixed nuts last night for a snack.

Skb - Please stay safe.  These Cyclones are absolutely not to be ignored.

I had my first "virtual" visit" with the Dr yesterday, and for me all it consisted of was a phone call by the Dr.  Because I am hearing impaired, it worked out well because in person I have a 'dickens' of a time hearing people speak from behind a mask.  On the phone, I can place my phone on speaker and enjoy a fairly, understandable conversation.

Tamagno - Sometimes my CGM is also off by quite a bit.  I have read on 'reddit'.com that it can be because of dehydration.  On my last sensor, I 'reset' it at the end of the first 10 day period and it was spot on at the 10 day period ~ so I thought "why not give re-starting a try"?  I did and now it is on day 16.  I am certain I will remove it at the end of this cycle.  Sometimes I will get a sensor that is just plain 'off' almost the entire 10 day session.

The cyclone hit about 60 kms south of the city. All we had was some rain, but down south there may have been some roofs blown off and all that.

104 this morning.  SKB, I saw a news article about the cyclone :

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/powerful-cyclone-nisarga-makes-landfall-near-mumbai/ar-BB14Xqzs?li=BBnbcA1&ocid=iehp

It looks like the coastal towns got hit the hardest.  Hope you are OK and all are safe.

Here we got to 97°  yesterday and it is supposed to get to 102°  today and tomorrow but dropping a lot over the weekend.

My supplemental insurance is promoting phone visits with your doctors and Medicare sent me an email also promoting that.  It may be just fine for some things but like Tamagno said there are some things only a hands on exam will work.  I have an appointment for a   dental cleaning next week and that is not a problem for my dentist so it will happen.  I also have an appointment with my dermatologist next week and that can not be done over the phone.

108 this partly cloudy morning.

74° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 73°/48°.

I haven't gotten any messages from Medicare, my secondary ins or my doctors re phone visits. I have my yearly with my pcp the end of this month and an appointment with my Gastroenterologist in July. I don't like it much, but I will be going to both.

Today is my 71st Birthday, think I will mosey on over to Amazon and buy some presents!  :)

Thanks Grammabear and Wally. We used to have what I assume was an automatic Happy Birthday post but it seems to have been lost in the transition. It was kind of nice to celebrate each birthday.

Thanks for the link Wally, I'll read it later.

Happy Birthday Barbara.  ~flr~

I checked your Forum Profile and you do have your Birthday fed in, yet the Forum didn't alert me to it. I'll have a look into that a little later. I have 2 meetings today so I'm in a bit of a rush.

The cyclone didn't do any damage in Mumbai and yes we are safe, thank you.
