124 this morning.

Worried about Tamagno.  Hope he is ok.

We have enjoyed a few 'cooler' days but today starts a trend for upward numbers and humidity.  It makes a person want to stay inside all the day.

81 this morning.  It was just a bit cooler at 107° and should be around 105° today and for the rest of the week.
My doctor originally gave me a prescription for test strips for 4 times a day and Medicare paid for them no problem until I had an A1c of 4.7% and then they cut it back to twice a day.  Apparently they don't consider the fact that testing was what helped me get to that number and just decided that you don't need to test that often.  They would rather treat someone for the complications rather than help prevent them.  Testing at lest 4 times a day helped me quite a bit to understand how my bg runs and the Libre is even better at showing how it goes throughout the day.  I think that it would be a very useful tool for doctors to provide a patient with a CGM to use for a period of time, maybe a month, to get a real picture of what is the best way to control your bg over the whole day.  Then again maybe a lot of people just wouldn't care.

Wally - I think your last statement is 'spot on' as many people find the diabetic chores a waste of their time.  When I was diagnosed the doctor told me I could eat anything I wanted as long as I took the recommended 10 units of insulin each meal.  Never mind looking at the meter, just take the insulin.  I quickly learned the doctor was full of baloney and eating to your meter was a better way to go.  I am glad you are benefiting from the Libre.

107 this sunny morning.

75° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 78°/46°. Very pleasant for July.

I'm worried about Tamagno also.

120 today for a reason  >:(

Tamagno has been absent for 2-3 days now. I hope that whatever is keeping him away will disappear soon. I don't think he has left an alternate contact or telephone number in the thread we started a few weeks ago.

79 this morning.

It is currently 72 deg F and a 40% chance of rain.  I surely hope we can get some moisture as our garden crops really could use it.

I am worried about Tamagno and wonder maybe if he is in hospital for some reason?

89 this morning.  We had a high of 103° yesterday and it looks like we will be around that for the next few days.  Not bad for here in July.
Off in a bit to my Cardiologist for a routine follow up and then back home.
The last time Tamagno posted was July 9 so it doesn't bode well for him to be away this long.  Hope we hear something from him soon.

72° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 84°/51°.

You're right Wally that is a long time for Tamagno to be MIA. I hope he can get in touch with us somehow. I hope he us OK.

Correct. He does keep having these lows with his pump/CGM malfunctioning, but if it were just that, he wouldn't have been gone so long. Hope we'll hear something from him today.

I am praying so hard that all will be well with Tamagno. He is such a sweet soul, my heart hurts at the thought of losing him.

110 this morning.

My heart also hurts if Tamagno is seriously ill.

We finally got rain yesterday, but I don't know how much.  It was a short downpour where you could barely see across the yard.

Yesterday the road crew came to fix a portion of the road in front of our house.  It was quite interesting to see big semis lined up with loads of blacktop to apply to the road.

Wally - I hope your visit with the cardiologist went well.

81 this morning.  We got to 103° yesterday and it will probably be a couple of degrees warmer today.

Thanks Grammabear, the visit with my Cardiologist went quite well.  Everything is good and I don't have to see him again for 6 months.  He has been keeping an eye on me since I had the heart valve replacement.  It's always a good feeling to have good news from him. The heart valve is now five years old and ticking on just fine.

Snap Grammabear! 110 her this sunny morning too.

78° was yesterday's high, forecast for today is 89°/55°. I really hope it doesn't get that high.

Glad you got good news from your dr Wally, that always is a good thing.

Yes, to trying to contact Tamagno.

Today is currently 72 deg F and a beautiful day.
