Quote from: walkerwally1 on October 03, 2021, 10:45:33 AMThe reason I set a goal to get a min. step count in each hour is because I spend a lot of time sitting at my computer. It is a hobby of mine to try and create things with a CAD program to print on my 3D printer.  Some useful and some just for fun.  I get involved and would sit for hours on end if I didn't stop and take time to walk.  My understanding is that sitting for long times is bad and moving from time to time helps.  I am using the Fitbit reminder to get up and move and that helps a lot.

That is quite true Wally. I also do sit at a desk for long hours and make it a point to keep getting up from time to time. I don't have a smart watch and I don't carry the phone on me so I don't know the step count, but I do the same thing.

4741 steps yesterday.  I still had soreness in my calf so I didn't try to push it but did get my hourly steps in.
Yeah SKB, I do like the reminder my Fitbit gives me because I tend to get involved in what I am doing and would go on for too long before remembering to get up and move.

11,119 steps yesterday.

I too get up each hour to walk. I have the TV on as background noise and whenever the commercials come on I get up and walk through most of them. I'm not watching the TV really just as background noise, but I put my laptop aside and try to walk through each set of ads.

Did a road walk of 2.3 kms today. Some of my lower calf muscles are sore today from the running of the past 2 days.

5343 steps yesterday.  Sometimes I just get busy and don't want to take the time to walk more but still getting my hourly steps so I think that is good.

4546 steps yesterday.  I'm not really doing all that well with being able to get more steps in so just working on getting in hourly steps and not pushing it.

9,691 steps yesterday. Fell asleep in the recliner and lost a bit over an hour of walking time. I don't know why the last couple of days I have fallen asleep in the late evening...

4666 steps yesterday.  Still just trucking along trying to get my hourly steps in.  I don't really know why but I am not doing as well as I was a couple of weeks ago.

5373steps yesterday.  I felt better but didn't want to push it.  Doing even better so far today.  I really don't know what the difference is from one day to the other but I'll just take it as it comes.

9,009 steps yesterday. I hear you Wally! There seems to be no reason for "good days" and "bad days". Is it something we ate or did??? Mystery of life I guess...

7388 steps yesterday.  I did feel better but to get to this many steps I have to take a break 2-3 times in an hour to get more steps.  I can get 250-300 steps in and then have to take a break.  I think that intermittent claudication may be my problem and I have dealt with this before.  I am going in for ultrasound testing next week for a scan of my arteries and veins which my cardiologist has me do a couple of times a year.  I will be interested on what it shows.  There is a medication to help claudication but when I took it before it raised my heart beat quite a bit so the doctor had me stop it.

8,435 steps yesterday. Need to go out to the PO and grocery store today. Not thrilled about going out as our numbers are going up. I'm going to double mask just for that extra protection.

7205 steps yesterday.  Numbers are down here and people are more relaxed and about half don't wear a mask anymore.  I am not too worried as I am vaccinated but I still wear a mask to the store as I think the employees deserve protection.  They are exposed to a large number of people every day and there is no way to know if someone is infected.
