For the evening I did the TM climb, having done with the running in the morning. And I beat this score by quite a bit.

7213 steps yesterday 12/12  I bought a new Fitbit Sense, not because there was anything wrong with my Fitbit Versa but just because I am a gadget junkie.  They have gone a long way beyond a step tracker and this has more sensors to give you information about more things but I am not really sure how useful the information is.  It has an SpO2 sensor but only tracks that when sleeping, it has a skin temperature sensor but only tracks that when sleeping also but it might be useful however I don't really know how yet.  It does have an EKG function so that may be useful.  I bought it because it was on sale for $200 instead of the $329 originally and I can sell my Versa for $100-$150  on EBAY.
The good news is that it still does a good job of tracking steps !   ;D

7278 steps yesterday.  12/12
Barbara, I started using a pedometer before I retired because I wanted to see how many steps I did at work just because I was curious.  My first was a mechanical pedometer before there were any of the digital models and when cell phones were just good to make and receiving calls.  I was surprised to find that I walked well over 10,000 steps a day at work and I was usually around 5 miles which is for my short legs around 12,500 steps.  When I retired I decided that walking would help me from becoming a slug and I got my first Fitbit, a Fitbit one, and it didn't do much more than count steps.  Since then I have had several models as they kept improving them and they keep adding to what they are measuring.  Connecting to the phone and updating the Fitbit app makes it quite an information collection.  How useful all of the information is I don't always know but it is interesting anyway.  If all you are interested in is steps the phone is just fine but like I said, I am a gadget junkie and I get a kick of all of the different things recorded whether they are that useful or not.   ;D

7306 steps yesterday  12/12  My BIL was advised by his cardiologist to do some cardio exercise after his heart attack so he bought a treadmill.  I have never used a treadmill and figured it would be too boring but I may try it just to see if I like it.

7,960 steps yesterday. Knees were acting up some. I haven't used a treadmill, but I have an elliptical, however after a while my knees really didn't like it so I don't use it any more.

I tried the treadmill yesterday and I don't like it but using it just for walking is probably not what it is good for.  Someone that wants to do a cardio workout would find it useful with the ability to change the incline and speed.  It also has a lot of other features that would help but I am not able to use any of them.  I can walk but only for a short time and only so fast.  After about 300-400 steps I have to stop and rest for a bit so I go out and walk a couple times an hour to get my steps in.

That way you can change your routine to extract maximum benefits in minimum time. The degree of difficulty factor is what I keep posting about. So I could do a 2 km physically but spend the calories required for a 3.5 km walk.

I also don't use the other features like programmed routines and pulse meter etc. They lack accuracy. I suppose in a big city the TM is a good option but out in the country side it would have to be outdoors.
