7663 steps yesterday  12/12
Yeah SKB, I do pay attention to your posts and I would be all for it myself to get a better workout but I am past that point and just walking is about the best I can manage.  It is kind of disappointing as a couple of years ago I think I would be able to do a lot more, I was making 10,000 steps a day without much problem, but then I wonder how many 79 year old men are waking 7000 steps a day and maybe I am not doing that bad.

9,990 steps yesterday.

Yeah Wally, I am content to get by with just walking too. My knees can be very iffy if I push too much.

No doubt you are both doing a very good job. I hope I am able to do that when I get to the 70s.

Thanks skb, I'm 72 have been very active in my younger days, probably leading to the knee problems. Was a competitive gymnast in college, went to the nationals,  (placed 26th in the nation, not impressive but I was proud) ran many 10K's and a couple 1/2 marathons. Did years of hiking and backpacking with late DH. A lot of punishment on my body over the years and now I am just happy I can do the walking I can do.

That is a nice profile. You should be proud.

Today I did the TM with incline, inspired as I was with your (both of you) posts.
I started very well going higher than distance in my cal count which requires a minimum incline of 9 (about 35+o) but my tooth started to give me some trouble so I had to back down, but even so I completed 200 cal with just 2.15 km. So as you would remember that 2.15 km is equivalent to a 4.0 km walk when looked at through the prism of cal spent.

8639 steps yesterday.  It seems that the RX from my cardiologist is having an effect and I am feeling a lot less of a problem with the claudication and can walk longer before needing to stop.  I am still interested to see how well I can do today because in the past when I did more it bothered me the next day.  So far so good though today.

8,251 steps yesterday. Knees were rebelling a bit from the steps the day before...

I took it really easy for the Sunday morning and got the 200 cal in 3.00 km. Some running, some mild inclines put in.

7636 steps yesterday.  I am doing better with the claudication but there are other things that also hinder my walking.  Sometimes I have pain in my foot that I believe is from osteoarthritis but continuing walking seems to make that better.  I have pain in me hip sometimes, the one I broke, so I slow down then.  I am surprised that I have not had a problem with my knees.  That plagued me for  a long time but since the last injection which was over three years ago I have not had any problem with my knees.

9,596 steps yesterday. Most of the time my knees are OK, but they do have their days when they just act up. Getting down on the floor trying to relight my fireplace was getting to be a problem so I just decided to do without the fireplace for a bit.

5363 steps yesterday.  12/12  I was sore all over yesterday foe some reason and had to take it easy but I did manage to get steps in each hour and a bit more.  Hoping to do better today.
That makes sense Barbara, I didn't know you were using the gas fire only.  We didn't have central heat in the house on the mountain and used the wood stoves for our main heating source.  We did have a couple of wall heaters but the cost of propane made the wood stoves a better source.
