10,498 steps yesterday.  Just happy to be getting 10K steps and making 12/12 hours walking so not going to push it any farther.

10,467 steps yesterday.  I got my yearly summary for 2019 from Fitbit and it is kind of interesting.  Total steps for the year was 2,839,298.  That is a lot of steps and I was far below what Barbara was doing.  No wonder we have knee problems as we get older.  Imagine how many steps you have done for your lifetime.

Wow Wally! That yearly total is amazing! It makes me wonder how many steps I did in the year, must be well over 3,000,000! Yeah, guess that does explain the knees! Well add in I was a competitive gymnast in college, an avid runner later, and a soccer player on an adult team...all abusive to the knees!

10,490 steps yesterday.  Yeah Barbara the numbers really do add up.  If you just averaged 10,000 steps a day that would be 3,650,000 steps in a year but we don't think of it until we see the number.  One of the things I like about the Fitbit app.  you get notifications from time to time marking certain milestones.

14,325 steps yesterday. I really should go ahead and get a Fitbit, I don't know why I keep putting it off...like I'm afraid of the InstantPot...weird.

10,597 steps yesterday.  I like the Fitbit better than the phone app because it is always there.  I was using the phone app when AARP had a challenge that was based on the minutes walked each day instead of steps and the phone app recorded that but the Fitbit doesn't.  I also have the Fitbit app on y phone and my desktop computer and it gives you a lot of information plus it has a log that you can use to keep a record of what you eat if you want.

I am going to go and look at the Fitbit Inspire that you recommended a while back Wally. I think it comes in lilac too so that will help me make up my mind finally.

eta: re the phone app, I always have my phone on me as it is my "Help, I've fallen and can't get up" device. After the falls I had a few years ago, it is always in my pocket, so I don't miss steps because I don't have it.

Yeah Barbara if you always have the phone with you that works.  I usually do but not always.  One thing about a fitness tracker like the Fitbit that you wear on your wrist is that your arm has to be free to move naturally.  That means that when you hold on to something like a shopping cart it will not record steps.  I push a cart with one hand and let my other one with the Fitbit free without any problem but it is something you should be aware of.  I do find that the Fitbit is more accurate than the phone but YMMV.

14,477 steps yesterday. 40 minutes shoveling snow.

Hmm, that is a drawback I wasn't aware of re the wrist trackers. Thanks for that info Wally. I think I am fine with the phone app, I was reading some comments on the Fitbit Inspire HR and they said it wasn't a 100% perfect count, so it sounds like nothing really counts exactly. I'm OK with that so think I'll just stick with my phone.

Yesterday being a Sunday, I could repeat the TM in the evening as well. Did 2 km mostly incline.

Today, did the 2 km walk/run almost 50:50, and also did a few repetitions on the Home Gym for arms and thighs.

10,472 steps yesterday.  I had to back off a bit as I was a bit sore but I was able to get 10K+ steps each day this week so that was good.  I got up this morning and could hardly walk because of pain from my lower back and down the back of my legs.  I had this happen before and I think it may be because of a pinched nerve or spine problem but it seems like laying down aggravates it a lot.  As counter intuitive as it seems walking and keeping a good posture seems to be the best thing for it.  So far, after getting started, I am doing pretty well.

15,408 steps yesterday. My knees were very stiff to start the day, but the walking as loosened them up. It is counterintuitive Wally, but sometimes out works.

Sounds like a strained muscle to me. I had this happen to me a few years ago, and it lasted for more than a week. What caused it, was a bout of very bad sneezing. Coughing can do it as well. Bad posture for sure can cause it. It;s just like a strained neck muscle, only it takes a little longer to heal.
