I think once I am healed I am going to look into treadmills, that way I can walk safely in one place. I'd like one with the scenic views, but I know that is going to be very expensive. I have an elliptical, but that for some reason makes my knees hurt (great place to hang my jacket though LOL!). The treadmill is way down the road at this point ...

A totally surprising 6,500 steps yesterday.

I wasn't pushing, just doing a bunch of little things that needed to be done. Every time I drop something, I have to go into the living room to get my grabber. After misplacing it several times my first few days home I decided it will always be put on the stand in the living room after use, that way I will always know where it is...

Yeah, I had the same problem, every time I dripped something my grabber was in another room so I bought three so I could have them where I would need them the most.  I am quite surprised though that I am now able to bend down and pick something up from the floor.

6,090 steps yesterday. Again just doing little things, not pushing at all (lots of trips back and forth to get grabber....)

6,757 steps yesterday. Probably close to half are getting the grabber and taking it back to it's place. Not pushing just doing what needs to be done. And surprisingly I am not in any pain for it or overly tired.

4,760 steps yesterday. Really tried to take a rest day and just did minimal things. It was harder not to get up out of my recliner than it has been these past days to get up and do things.

Maybe that is part of the reason my bedtime bg last night was higher, my body has been adjusting to more activity?

4,741 steps yesterday. Just doing what needs to be done, not pushing at all. Those days I was in the 6,000 step range just proved to me I will get back there at some point and not to stress now.

Wow! 7,408 steps yesterday! Lots of little jobs, another laundry. Trips to get grabber and put it back... Was not forcing at all.

6,060 steps yesterday. Again not trying to get the count just doing things... mostly going back and forth for the grabber it seems...LOL.

I don't look at counter during the day so as not to pressure myself for more steps.  So the next morning I am often surprised by what I have done.

5,987 steps yesterday.

I am getting better than I ever wanted using the grabber. I can pick up a single piece of kitty kibble, the other day 1/2 a salted peanut and last night a single grain of rice ...sheesh a skill I never strove to excel in!! LOL! The only good is I get a lot of extra steps in fetching it and putting it back where it belongs...
