7,149 steps yesterday. That was a surprise, especially after sitting waiting for new car battery over an hour.

Did grocery shopping at the larger store in town, lots of walking to find things (haven't been there since Dec 15) so really got a lot of steps there and then unloading car and putting most things away. No wonder I was exhausted yesterday!!

Today is going to be a day of rest...

Weighed myself this morning first thing, down another 2.2# since 3/25.  I'm trying to eat as much as I can...getting worrisome.

2317 steps yesterday.  I was doing pretty good in the morning then my pesky leg began to bother me again so I backed off.  No pain no gain is no longer a thing at my age.  Pain = stop

2972 yesterday.  One of my problems is that I am absorbed in getting my 3D printer upgraded and doing a lot of reading so I am not getting up and walking as much as I could.  Oh, so many things, so little time!

5,522 steps yesterday.

Was doing some housework and noticed back was beginning to ache so stopped and just sat down for a while. I really don't want to work until I hurt, still trying to learn my limits for now.

2417 steps yesterday.  My right knee is giving me a lot of trouble the last couple of days.  That is new as my knees have been real good for a long time since I got the last injections.  I am going to keep an eye on it and maybe it is time for another injection.

6,483 steps yesterday. Lots of pacing waiting for FedEx shipment, that never came...

Wally have you ever tried Salonpas patches when your knee bothers you? It is a stop gap fix but worked for me when my knee was so sore. In between shots or just occasionally you may get some relief. They have a Maximum strength that the care facility used on my back and it really helped. Just a thought.

2476 steps yesterday.  I just can't seem to get back to better numbers but I am plugging along.  Barbara no I have never tried the patches as the area I was having the nerve pain from sciatica was much larger than a patch but I did try the Salonpas cream and it really didn't do much.  This is new so I haven't really tried anything yet but for my knee it may be worth trying.

The Maximum strength patches are good sized, covered my sore back area well. The regular ones come in two sizes a small one that I sometimes use on my knee and a larger one if the knee pain is more widespread. The Maximum strength ones have Lidocaine.

Well for the knee or even the back the patches may be just fine but I was looking at an area from my knee to my ankle on my leg with the sciatica so I found the Salonpas cream which also has the same 4% Lidocaine and I thought it should work just as well as the patch which it may but it didn't do a lot for the nerve pain but then it was pretty intense.  The problem with my knee right now is that it is very inconsistent.  Today it has not bothered me at all.  Today my right foot is giving me problems instead.  Sheese, if it isn't one thing it is surely another.

I just threw the Salonpas out there as an idea to try. The only thing I can think of is the patch keeps releasing the medication, maybe longer than the cream. Whatever works for you.

I don't use a patch every day, just when my knee is bothering me maybe 2X a week at most.

2041 steps yesterday.  So my knee didn't bother me but my foot is being onery.  It isn't neuropathy I am pretty sure but it is in the bones of my foot and I am guessing but I think it is arthritis.  I have an appointment with a podiatrist later this month so I will see what he thinks.  It may be related to my shoes, I am wearing Sketcher slip on shoes and they don't have a lot of support.  Maybe I should try my other walking shoes and stop being so lazy.
You may be right about the patch Barbara and maybe I will try them.

Today should be a quiet relaxed day. Doing laundry, maybe a tiny bit of Spring cleaning. Planning to go out tomorrow or maybe Thursday to pay for tax prep so they can e-file them, get a small area heater for bathroom with tile floor that is alway cold, and a bit of grocery shopping.

The weather looks pretty clear most of the week, after today, until next Monday, so good time to do my errands in the next couple of days. Hopefully the mud will be somewhat dried out...
