2827 steps yesterday.  I had an appointment with my PCP yesterday and that took up about 2 hours.  She is not quick and it always takes up a lot of time waiting but on the good side she will spend as much time as you need to explain her answers to any questions you have.  I don't mind the wait when you don't get shoved out after a doctor spends 15 min. and is done with you.  I have been there before.  Appointment was good.  All of the test results are good and nothing to worry about so I won't.

Woke to a dusting of new snow, and flurries in forecast that weren't there yesterday...will have to play it by ear if I can get out today. Tax people called yesterday, my taxes have been done a while but told them I had a really muddy road, they laughed and said yeah lot of that going around! May have to weight one more day...sigh.

3021 steps yesterday.  My taxes are so simple I do them myself and file as soon as possible just to get it out of the way.  I think this year you have until 4/18 to file.

If it weren't for my investments, I wouldn't have to file at all...

I get a lot more steps in at the larger grocery store in town. Plus I am kind of surprised at some of the new things they are stocking. Several organic things I have had to order online...

I can't believe how good it feels to be back to doing things for myself, when I want, where I want!! This feels like the real start of being normal again!

2869 steps yesterday.  When I started back posting my steps I was a lot more enthusiastic about it as I was improving as I walked more and I was getting close to 4K and had thought that I might get to 5K and even more.  That isn't going to happen.  I am managing to be consistent at around 3000 steps a day so I guess that will be where I am.  I can do more but I would need to devote a lot more time to walking and there are other things that are keeping me busy.  I don't think that is a bad thing.  I get up and walk at least once each hour or I would probably be sitting for several hours at a time.  I think it is a good thing that I have hobbies that keep me busy and don't sit around wondering what to do.

I understand Wally. Though I don't have hobbies like you do, there are so many things around here I need to do and catch up with that it does keep me busy. I am not consciously walking to get my number up, but just to get things done.

As I feel better, I do see my steps getting higher, but I doubt if I will ever see 10,000 again or even 8,000. I'll take what I can do and be happy with that. I too do get up each hour and move around if I haven't already done enough that hour.

I had a late evening meeting yesterday so I came back home, refreshed, and then took the metro to where I had to go. For both, the source and destination stations there's a fair bit of stair climbing and walking and then the walk from the station to the place I had to go. Got a lot of steps and effort.

Sorting clothing, reassessing donation bag as now many of the smaller items I had in there I can now wear again. Back and forth to the full length mirror to see how things fit.

2419 steps yesterday.  It is kind of funny.  The Fitbit gave you a reminder to walk at 10 min. to the hour if you hadn't walked at least 250 steps, that was the goal, at least 250 steps each hour.  The Apple watch gives you the same reminder to get up at 10 min. to the hour but only wants you to move for at least 2 min. and it doesn't count steps, just "move" what ever that means but once I just stood and moved my arm and that satisfied it.  I walk though and that is how I "move".

That is quite a difference overall. Walking 250 steps or just standing up and waving your arms. That seems like it would lull people into a false sense of security that they are at least dong the minimum exercise...doesn't seem good to me.

Did some housecleaning and even went outside and did some light yard work. It was nice to get out in the sun, but it didn't play well with my back so had to come in and sit for a while.

2867 steps yesterday.  Yeah Barbara I don't think that just standing and waving your arms in much of an exercise but you are free to do as much as you want and for me I use the reminder to walk as much as I can at the time.

I know you do Wally, but it seems a disservice to some people that think all they have to do is wave their arms when possibly they could be doing more. Not necessarily thousands of steps, but actually walking some, besides waving arms.
