5,264 steps yesterday. I tried really hard to take it easy, will do so again today. I don't have to go anywhere or do anything in particular so will try to give my back a good chance to rest and stop aching.

3021 steps yesterday.  I was a little bit sore, maybe from the day before.  I used to try to do more to build up muscle and improve but it doesn't seem to do the same thing now.  Doing more just makes me sore but doesn't seem to do much to build muscle.  I'm not sure if it is age or imagination.

I don't think it is imagination...I am coming to realize as I get older, especially during recovery from injury or illness, I don't heal as easily or as quickly or maybe even as well as I once did. I guess it is a natural part of aging, have to admit though, I am going to fight it tooth and nail!!

2095 steps yesterday.  I am actually surprised at it being that low.  I did have a dental appointment that took about an hour plus driving time there and back but the rest of the day I was home but must have been slacking off!

5,477 steps yesterday. Back better for the rest, knees kind of achy, if not one thing it is another!

Today will involve a lot of driving and sitting, but since I am going up to town to see the Gastro, I will hit a couple grocery stores I don't often get to shop at. So I will probably get plenty of steps in to make up for all the sitting.

3051 steps yesterday. Kind of dealing with some soreness here and there.  It is funny that it may be one thing that goes away and then another comes along and says "it's my turn now".

A surprising 6,038 steps yesterday. Lots of sitting but made up some steps with a quick shop (not where I planned) on way home. Totally exhausted when I finally got home. (70 mile round trip driving to Gastro wore me out.)

3212 steps yesterday.  I had an appointment with a Podiatrist yesterday because I just can no longer manage to trim my own toe nails, I just can't reach that far down.  He is great and trimmed my toe nails in a short time and has me on a schedule now. It is a big relief and being diabetic Medicare will pay for it.

I can still reach, but it is getting harder and harder. My darned pcp took diabetes off my list of illnesses as he claims I am cured. (Another reason to see a new pcp.) Don't know if that will mess with me getting medicare paid trims when the time comes.

A kind of sad story on a podiatrist my late DH had...DH had been going to this guy for several years and after his leg amputation, I asked the podiatrist if that meant half the charge ongoing as he only now had 1 foot. A resounding NO was the answer! Seemed kind of harsh and unfair. I almost felty like smacking the guy! Since medicare covered costs we let it go...DH passed about 6 months later.

6,399 steps yesterday. Still tired from the Gastro trip, but also I am still in "take it easy" mode and will just do what I can w/out forcing.

I don't know!  I reset my pedometer without writing the step count down and I don't know what it was at.  I think it was around 2800 or so but not dure.  I was feeling OK but did kind of get involved doing things so there is that.  The one thing about this cheap step counter is that it doesn't keep any kind of memory and is not "smart" at all and doesn't connect to a phone.  I could try to keep my phone in my pocket but I am not very good at that and anything that goes on the wrist doesn't work when using a walker.  I might look around some more for a better device.  The old Fitbit was great and went into your pocket but they quit making those a few years ago.

I think you are too nice, I would have unloaded on that doctor for being so ignorant that he clearly didn't know anything about Diabetes.  Just because you work at controlling your diabetes doesn't mean you are cured and all you would have to do is sit there in front of him and eat a cupcake and watch your blood sugar climb to over 300.  Does he want you to do that? At least that is what I would ask him.  I think your idea of looking for another PCP is probably a good idea.
