5380 steps yesterday.  That was not planned but just happened and I was surprised.  The good news is that I was able to do it after a higher than usual number the day before and so far I am doing OK today.  In the past I have had a hard time after getting higher steps the day before but so far it is not causing a problem.  I have no explanation and it may change but so far it is good.
Yeah SKB, I mostly walk around the house and get as much as I can each time I get up.  I do go outside and walk also and we have a large paved area in our back yard as it is two city lots together.  Summer time when it gets too hot in the afternoon it is only in the mornings but right now it is mostly any time.
Glad you were able to find a new PCP.  My PCP that I have been seeing for about 10 years is a female that I really like.  One of the best things is that she will spend as much time as you need at an appointment to answer any questions you may have.  My previous doctor would give you 15 min. and then he would get up and leave and on to the next patient.

I hope she is not the type to classify you as 'cured'. Good Luck with your appointment. The 50 mile trip reduction is an added bonus.

That is great news indeed and the number is also very impressive.
I used public transport again and always manage something close to a 5k at the least.

That is one of the first things I am going to discuss with her! I'm not cancelling my other pcp until after I meet the new one...

5,524 steps yesterday. Quiet day, and I think I'll have one more. I think I'll wait on errands another day...LOL "hermit mode" is setting in again.

5209 steps yesterday.  I am not really trying to get to 5K but am happy to see it.  I did change my goal from 3K to 4K and don't think that will be a problem right now.  I am devoting more time to walking and that is the big reason I have been able to increase my number but I am surprised that I have been able to do it more days in a row.  In the past I would have too much pain the next day if I had managed even 4000 steps so this is a good sign.

6,807 steps yesterday.

I was feeling so good, in the early afternoon I decided to go to the grocery store then instead of waiting until Monday. Went to two stores and the PO so got more steps than I had thought the day would bring. Still exhausts me but worth the effort.

4860 steps yesterday.  Not quite the 5K mark but still not bad.  I did change my goal to 4K and I think anything over that is a good day for me.  I did get some muscle soreness and tiredness toward the end of the day so I did back off a bit.  I am still working on getting the 250 min. steps each hour and so far that is working and keeps me active.

6,218 steps yesterday.

Just doing normal things around the house, finished unloading car after shopping trip. Need to do a few things in the yard but will have to really pace myself and not do too much at a time.

It is taking me a lot longer to recover than I thought it would, just about any extra activity exhausts me... sigh.

5179 steps yesterday.  I was surprised to get over 5k. I had hoped to get at least my 4K goal and didn't think I would get much more than that but 5K is good.  Kind of sore today though but getting my 250 step/hour without a problem.  It just takes me 2-3 times to walk in each hour.  I am getting better at getting more steps at a time but not able yet to get 250 steps in one session.
Yeah Barbara, it takes me a while to recover after doing anything that takes effort so I need to rest a bit before continuing.

I used the public transport again and clocked another 6k+ though I do lose the count of steps when my phone is not with me. I could safely add another 2k to that number.
You guys are doing pretty well and that inspires me a lot to move my a55.

6,801 steps yesterday.

Mostly just normal things around the house, a little Spring cleaning, etc. The weather was so nice I spent some time outside doing light yard work. It felt good to be out in the sun!

4710 steps yesterday.  I was actually only expecting to break 4K but did a bit better.  Today I am just going to try to manage to get the hourly 250 steps, kind of sore but still walking.
