Yeah, I've noticed that sometimes it takes a day or so for it to catch up with me. Do what you can and nothing else matters.

For the past 2 days I have been "thinking" about getting on to the TM, but then it's tooo hot and I somehow manage to convince myself I'll do it tomorrow.

9,495 steps yesterday. I think mostly due to nervous pacing.

I will probably lose some steps today while at the hospital for MRI and of course the 70 mile round trip. I do plan on a couple of shopping stops on way home so that may help the count.

Frankly quite surprised with the number yesterday, didn't think I'd see anything like that for a long time if ever again!

I am trying to figure out all the ins and outs of a Fitbit Versa I was gifted but still on a learning curve. This number was strictly from my Steps app on my phone. Will strictly be using app today will go back to working with the Fitbit when I am home all day tomorrow.

I didn't even keep count yesterday and just took a day off to get some rest.  I expected to start out today fresh and ready to get going but I apparently slept wrong and my back hurt quite a bit when I got up.  I was sure that I would not be able to do much at all but it seems that I am not doing bad after all.  So far I am managing to get my hourly steps in so I will see how it goes.

6,713 steps yesterday.

I expected less than the day before as MRI involved a lot of sitting around and waiting plus drive time. Still happy with end count.

4253 steps yesterday.   I did have some back pain when I got up and thought it may keep me from doing much but it stopped giving me a problem after moving a bit and actually did better than I expected.

The summer heat has been preventing me from my workouts, but I need to start them again.

7,573 steps yesterday.

Count from Maipo step app on my phone as will all counts until I can get FitBit synced properly and the numbers are closer together. Yesterday the counts were wildly different by way over a thousand steps.

4338 steps yesterday.  I keep getting surprised each time I get over 4K steps as I start out thinking I will do less but it does seem  I can get there most of the time.
Barbara, what it on the face of the Fitbit is what it counted and doesn't matter what it syncs to.  I have tested my Fitbits by walking 100 steps and counting then seeing how close the count is.  Usually my Fitbits have been very close and usually right on.  I didn't have the same result using the phone but you may have different results.

I'll try that count test today. I don't think the fitbit is synced to any app on my phone,  but not quite even sure how to find out. I am such a tech dummy! I know the Maipo app is synced with the Apple Health app that came with the phone but don't think the fitbit is... I'll keep trying though as I really want this. to. work!

No the Fitbit and the Fitbit app do not connect to the apple health app.  You need to get the actual Fitbit app installed to sync with the Fitbit.  Actually I don't know how you got it set-up without using the Fitbit app.  The first thing it tells you to do is download the app and then it uses it to setup the device.
The fitbit app looks like this:

You cannot view this attachment.:Health & Fitness
only it is all on the same line

This is the only actual Fitbit app and even others have Fitbit in their name they are not what you want.  You may want to look at all of your installed apps to see if you already have it, if not download and install it.  It will make using the watch more useful.  You will need to set up an account with a user name and password then it will save all of tour stats.  I have had a Fitbit account for over 20 years and started using a Fitbit one as my first one.  That was bfore watches and it was carried in your pocket like I am doing now.  ;D

I did originally install the wrong app, but you caught that and I got the correct one. I get the stats I have selected it is just the count is way different than what Maipo shows. Like a thousand or more steps less. I didn't have time to do the 100 step test you recommended, will try tomorrow to make time.

I had. a phone call buzz me but wasn't sure I could talk on the watch so quickly answered my phone. Learning curve still I guess.

3880 steps yesterday.  I was doing pretty good but about 2:00PM I decided to lay down for a few min. and that turned into about an hour so I did miss some walking time but still did better than I thought I would.
Yeah Barbara you will have to do a count to compare the two to be sure.  I have found the Fitbit to be pretty accurate and I don't know about the phone app.
