4,877 steps yesterday.

Success! Managed to get some real rest yesterday. Today I have a big Chewy order w/5 16# bags of food to haul inside plus a case of wet food which will be a lot of lifting. Then I want to go to the Farmer's Market, last week I got some great peppers and tomatoes from the local Amish community that sells at the market.

Next on agenda is to try to catch more of the new kittens. I found one dead, I think from the 3rd mama's litter that she was moving to under the deck from her hiding place. This one  was very tiny...always sad.

Don't think this is going to be as restful a day.

Shopping and Farmer's Market added to the count.  I got some really good sauerkraut from the Miller Colony stand, that should help replace probiotics in my system. Plus I love sauerkraut!  I got a dozen of their brown eggs and some sweet golden raspberries too. Today is hard boiling day! They have started establishing a small business community in town. Mostly fence post/woodworking type things but they do have a small market. I haven't been in there in a couple years (Covid...) but will go again soon as they carry brands I remember from my childhood that you don't see in the regular stores. They also have a lot of home made things and fresh veggies that they grow.

I wish we had a Farmer's market around here but we don't.  I also like sauerkraut a lot and buy the brand sold in the stores here found in the refrigerated deli section.  We usually have it a couple times a month.

This stuff is so fresh and yummy I just eat it right out of the jar I transferred it to. Like I'd eat a pickle. I do the same with the store bought though, I keep a jar open in the refrigerator and nibble on it. Of course love me some carrots and sausage cooked with it too!

Still trying to stay in take it easy mode. Nothing on agenda today except taking garbage up to the road. May give my car a hose down now that the frost free pump is working. Wonder how kitties will react to the hose??

Got busy clearing/reorganizing pantry/storage area then other chores guess it added up! Kitties were not particularly happy with the hose. I don't water much so not an issue really.

Will try to keep it slow, really interested in what pcp will say about the murmur and hope for the shot in knee on Thurs.

Still trying to catch young kittens. Lots of back and forth to see if they were out. TNR lady came by to pick up last trap, it is useless for tiny kittens they don't even trip it. We discussed straw bale homes for the winter and looked around yard for best places.

With the weather changing I've also begun the change of Summer to Winter clothes. So that means several loads of laundry so I can put the Summer stuff away clean. And taking out Winter things and a quick tumble in dryer to freshen them. Lots of steps involved...

Resting up for dr appt today. A little nervous about the whole thing, I will be happy for a shot in my knee though.

No luck catching any kittens, they are on to me so this is going to be harder than the first 3.

Lots of back and forth, computer to printer to instructions, trying to get new printer set up. Still not right so probably will be same today. Beginning to wish I hadn't even gotten it!

Less walking, more sitting and trying to sort out printer installation...still failing.

Marginal improvement in right knee, but the steroid shot does take a few days to kick in fully.

Still fighting printer. Also switching from Summer to Winter clothes so lots of back and forth today is garbage day so will be gathering it all up and taking can to top of the road.

Knee is feeling better each day. I didn't even take an Advil last night. Hopefully the relief will last a long time.

Caught a kitten yesterday...or it caught me! He walked right into the house after eating some food I had put out. Picked him up and he snuggled right into my neck. I had to keep it even though TNR dr said he'd be gone until today. I had the other gal pick him up. Still about 4 that I know of to catch.

Still going to stay away from printer instal today. It was just too stressful/frustrating and I don't need that right now.
