Well I am not going to pay attention to the number of steps for exercise right now.  I am trying to improve my walking without using any support from the walker or cane although I carry the cane if needed to prevent any stumble but so far I haven't needed it but it is kind of a security blanket I guess.  I watched a couple of videos on exercises for seniors to strengthen the muscles in your legs to improve walking and balance so I decided to try that.  One exercise is to get up from a sitting position in a chair to a standing position at first using your hands to help if needed, I needed, and do several of those until you feel you are exercising the leg muscles but before you feel pain then do that about 3 times a day and rest the next day.  Well, I did the first sets and that was all I could do but maybe if I do this for a few days I will see improvement.  I was really sore after I tried this but so far today not so much.

After dentist appointment walked around the Mall a little but had no energy to actually shop. Stopped at the grocery store on the way home for more soft foods as I think this "getting use to it" time is going to be longer than I had anticipated.

Still sore from my standing "exercises" and it may take me more than one day to get over it but I will see how it goes today.  I would really like to be able to walk unaided and for longer distances and if doing some exercises helps that would be great.

I think it all finally hit me yesterday. Between the build and the teeth I had zero energy yesterday. Every time I sat in the recliner within 15 min I was asleep and would wake up 45 min or so later.

There are several sore spots in my mouth from the dentures. Needs some more trimming, hopefully I can get in by Tuesday since I have another appointment that day too. I know this is all part of the process of getting used to them, but putting in my lower partial this morning brought me to tears. Sigh, it had to be done but I didn't think it would hurt this much!

I've been living mostly on meal replacement drinks.

Well it seems like it takes me more than one day to recover from exercise but I am back at standing exercises today to see how it goes.  I am doing better at walking unaided and that is an improvement.

Took it easy. I did do laundry so there are a lot of extra steps, aside d=from that just the every day "things" that have to be done.

My mouth still really sore but I am going to try to get through it some before I ask for more revisions....maybe. I keep telling myself "temporary pain for permanent gain". Not sure how long "temporary" is going to last...

I did more leg exercises yesterday and it seems to be getting a bit easier and I am walking around the house without any support so it must be helping.  I will take it easy today and see how I feel tomorrow.  Hoping to pick it up a bit more as I go.

Didn't do much yesterday, but the grocery run did add some steps. Today I see the hand dr and while in town I am going to pick up some pine pellets to try out for the litter boxes. It seems more economical and is supposed to be much cleaner smelling.

Mouth about the same maybe a bit better. I'm going to give it a couple more days before I call dentist for another adjustment.

Dr appointment and then some small shopping in town. When I got home my friend and I hauled the huge liter tubs out of their house and carried across my yard to a back corner to dump. Amazing how heavy all that peed clay. litter can be!! Even with the drive time I had a lot more steps at home than I thought.

I'm switching to pine pellet litter that is what I picked up in town. Seems much more economical and the resulting dust will be better for the environment. Plus it smells so much better! I haven't checked the litter in the kitty house this morning yet, to see if they liked the pellets. Sure did smell better in there!

Trying to take it easy. Then as I was getting all my autopay bills written down (I'm moving all my banking to my broker, Edward Jones, as local bank is closing) I came across a property tax bill due 5/31 that I misplaced. It had come in as an extra state mandated reversal to a discount originally given. So I rushed madly to the PO to get the bill mailed and postmarked. While I was out I did a bit of grocery shopping. Had not planned all that!

Tried to do as little as possible. Mouth still sore and unfortunately I think I am supposed to stop the Advil from now until surgery next Friday. That isn't going to help my comfort level at all. I need to call dr to verify this.

Yesterday ended up being kind of a crazy day. I finally broke down in the morning, and called the dentist about how sore my mouth is is. Best they could do was next Tuesday. At about 2:30PM I get a call that she will see me that day as soon as I got there!! Wow! I dropped everything and drove up to town. She did the revisions and said I didn't have to wear the lower bridge all the time so the sores could heal, just when eating. I thought the pain was just part of the process, but no, she said any little sore spot I should call and she will revise again. That is why they wait at least 6 months to do the final reline. She is going to check them again Tuesday before surgery.

So what I intended to be a restful day ended up something very different!

True that!  And leaving them out except to eat is helping the gums heal better.

Gradually getting things in order to make doing things one handed easier for a while. Also just a little general tidying so I don't have to do it later. I really felt like I was sitting a lot more than the step count shows. As much as I'd really like to just sit, some things have to be done daily.
