4,367 steps yesterday.

Finally by the end of the day yesterday, my neck seemed to back to normal! Finally, now I can ease back into more activity and especially since the weather is supposed to be nice for a week or so, get outside and do some Fall clean up and just walk some.

5,168 steps yesterday.

I did some heavier chores yesterday, vacuuming, changing the bedding for Fall, light quilt and almost put put on the flannel sheet, but too soon...

All that, and foot and neck still OK. Hands get better each day. Probably by the time Winter and snow shoveling time gets here they will be ready for it!!

3,387 steps was all I managed yesterday.

Watched several videos on the iPhone13 and ios18. Then the cat decided she needed to cuddle so we sat a lot. I have lots of chores for today so I guess a day of rest was what I needed too get prepared for today!

4,852 steps yesterday.

I got hung up going throught clothes and ended up with 4 more bags to go to Goodwill. I finally decided keeping the "fat" clothes just in case, was pointless and just plain stupid anymore so they all went into the bags. Also some super small ones that I won't wear again either.... Lots of empty storage bins now! Few other small chores and that was about it.

Someone on the other forum I participate in said her phone undercounts her steps by 10-20%. I don't know how she figured it. I replied that if my counts were under I'd be OK as it meant I had actually done more. But I wouldn't be happy for the reverse. I suppose all the counters have their error margins. I do have mine set with height, weight and stride length so I guess it is as close as possible to actual steps. Maybe this person didn't set that up??

I'm OK accepting the # my Maipo app says.

Those errors are quite possible, in both directions. The phone can over count as well. The phone sort of counts the vibrations every time a step is taken. It can miss a couple of steps. If I ever happen to ride in a (what you call) tuk-tuk, my phone thinks I'm riding a bicycle and starts to measure my outdoor workout.

Yeah, I more look at the counts as an average that I strive to keep around the same or higher each day depending on how my body is feeling. I don't think there can be any device that can truly count steps. Our steps aren't consistent in size and so many other variables get in the way to take it as carved in stone....

I didn't do too much yesterday as I knew today was going to be busy. I've learned the hard way that I need to pace myself if I don't want to be down for several days recouping from overdoing things one day.

I do have to start tidying and winterizing to some extent the kitty house. I took the flap off the kitty door because they were hesitant to go in and out through it, but they need to learn before the snow comes... I think memories of the traps made then shy away from the small opening that is the kitty door. I know they'll adjust in time....
