New Facebook Page

With the change in name of the Forum, we've also changed the Facebook Page. The Facebook link now connects to The Diabetes Forum Online page.

No. FB will never be able to match up to a Forum.

Because FB is a popular social network, we do need a presence there. And not just that, it has been neglected in the past, whereas we can effectively use it for more enrollments here.

Why don't you click the above or the FB Button (to the right) and check out the page. It is still a WIP though.

I've changed the images to improved ones with our logo. I think it's an attractive page now. I'm looking at how FB works and will try to reach out to some people through FB.

I went to the Facebook and gave my rating to Diabetes Forum on Line and I think it would help if others did it.  Pretty easy but you need to have an account and log in to Facebook to do it.

I've shared the page link with my friends and low carb recipe groups. I think there are about 350 people all put together. I posted this recommendation. Good luck guys.

I'm a member of this Online Diabetes Community for 4 years now. I joined up for the Recipes and the Nutritional advice, though there is much more to be gained if you are a Diabetic.

Members share from first hand experience, how they learnt, managed and combated the chronic disease, without the aid of medication which has horrendous side effects. The community has a Global membership base and the people have decades of experience and scientific knowledge to share.

I highly recommend this site for Diabetics of any type, age or cultural identity. Even if you are affected by Obesity, Insulin Resistance or other Metabolic disorders, do join to improve your health.

I am not very active on Facebook or Twitter but I have an account on both and out here in the boondocks where there is almost no local news it is a good way to get info about what is going on, especially in emergency situations like fires or earthquakes.

I am on Twitter and do follow the local news stations. As I recently found out my iPhone will notify me of Emergency and Public Safety Alerts.

Well, I'm afraid that a presence on FB merely as an advt to attract people here is not going to work unless that page is very active.
