80 this morning.  Being outside is still not comfortable in the afternoon, still over 100°, but the evening is quite nice to be outside and grilling is great. 
Wow Tamagno, guests that bring the food and cook it !  Glad you are getting relief from your back pain. 
Masks are still not required here in stores but cases are on the increase in the area and most people shopping are wearing masks and even though I am vaccinated I wear one in the store.  I think the employees deserve it.

Kathy, here is a link to the Hungryroot site: https://www.hungryroot.com it really explains how it works. They also advertise a lot on TV. I signed up as a single person but there are other choices. My only issue is that it looks like a lot of little plastic containers that will have to be disposed of. But the food looks good. I'll post when I actually get my first delivery.

From today the local trains and malls have been opened to those who are fully vaccinated and more than 14 days have elapsed since the 2nd shot. Masks are still compulsory in public places.

skb - How do the train agents or the Mall personnel 'know' that people have been fully vaccinated?  Do they have to show a card?  When we were vaccinated, we received a card with the name, date and vaccine lot number printed on it.  I am just curious what India's laws might be.

Oldest son came yesterday afternoon and visited with hubby and I plus youngest son who was visiting from out of state.  It was a "rare" occasion when we all are in the same place at the same time and the weather is absolutely gorgeous enough so we could sit outside.

India has taken huge strides in digitalizing everything. We have government portals for most of the citizen's needs. Everyone has a UID (Unique ID) Card which is linked to a PAN (Permanent Account No Income Tax). You can have a number even if you don't pay tax. And, it is also linked to your Mobile Phone Number. The cell phone reach is also staggering. We have some Indian companies that roll out a basic cell phone pretty cheap. Monthly connections are available for as low as $3 or below.

For the Vaccination program, we have a government portal called CoWin. You can register for a shot on it. It will track your location and give you nearest options for centers and the time slots available. Within minutes of your shot, you get a SMS Notification. You can login and download your Vaccination Certificate whenever you want. The pdf Certificate has a QR Code which can be scanned for authenticity. Right now the Railways issue a ticket/pass only upon showing the Certificate. So if you have a ticket or a pass, you're good.

Well, my wife must be outside so I don't necessarily remember everything, but I'm pretty sure the cooks are coming around 11:30am. This could be interesting.

In Connecticut there's a daily increase in cases of The Plague right here in town. Mostly people wear masks but less reliably. Just started seeing signs for the usual fall flu shots and some muttering about a Plague booster shot.

91 this morning.  It is going to remain hot, around 110°, through Tuesday and then we will have a drop of about 10° starting Wednesday.  Not a drop of rain in sight, sigh.
I have a covid vaccination card showing the date and type of vaccine issued when I got my shots and I have a picture on my phone but I have never been asked to show it as proof.  I am not going to any crowded place though like a sports event or concert where they are required.  There is an increase in cases here and it is people that have not been vaccinated that are ending up in the hospital.

85° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 93°/54° but I think the smoke cover is not going to allow it to get that high.

I'm still not vaccinated, I haven't been able to get a convincing answer re the anaphylaxis. I'm staying in and being careful when I go out, so far so good. Cases are pretty low here so that helps too. I'm sure I'll eventually get the vax, I just have to get more confident it is safe for me.

Cases in India and our state are going down but that could inject a false sense of security. I think we were caught off guard the second time and the Govt is wary of that happening all over again. On an average 6,000,000 + shots are being given every day and about more than a third of the population is vaccinated. However, I have personally met 2 people who have had Covid after both shots. Though the symptoms were pretty mild in both cases.

I recently read on a Facebook pump group that a lady lost her mother who got caught Covid in spite of being vaccinated both shots. There might be much to learn about this virus yet.

It is very quiet at our house today as our son and his pups left for their home yesterday.  I miss them all.

I think the age groups most susceptible to The Plague have shifted down but in our small town alone we're getting about ten new cases a day; haven't heard the latest mortality rates.

Nevertheless, its looking like a beautiful day with maybe even some deck time manageable.

91 today.  Another couple days of 110° + and then cooling down about 10° for a few days.  Sunny and clear and at least the humidity is low so the cooler works well.
Cases here are higher but the people in the hospital from covid are about 96% unvaccinated.  Being vaccinated is not 100% effective but if you get infected it is usually a mild case.  They are now talking about a booster shot for "immunocompromised" people but I don't know what their definition of that is.  I still think it is a good practice to avoid crowds and wear a mask.

88° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 91°/57°. Unhealthy air conditions.

I just checked the tracker for Covid cases and yesterday there were 9 new cases in my county. Things holding fairly low... As Wally said, I avoid crowds and always wear a mask

Yesterday a friend informed me that it has been a couple of months since both his shots, yet in a recent test he displayed no anti-bodies. I wonder what is the significance of that. Possibly a compromised immune system.
