Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny day with a slight breeze.  I kind of wish we could bottle these days and save them for when the weather is not so pleasant.

My sleep has greatly improved, likely because of the steroid shots. I guess I hadn't realized how much pain there was or that it was effecting sleep. I wonder if that will last or fade with the shots.

Its beautiful here as well, Grammabear. I was thinking that you could travel to someplace warm in the winter but there's the big hassle of travel.

Well, best enjoy the good stuff while its here and like always just tough it out when its gone.

80 this morning.  It is supposed to get to 108° today and then tomorrow a big drop and we are supposed to be in the mid 90s for a few days.  That will be a nice break.
I generally get a pretty good nights sleep but I have been having leg cramps early in the morning and that is no fun.  Not much you can do but tough it out.

85° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 73°/54° with good chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and rain (thank goodness not dry lightning!).

Will have to make a quick grocery store run today, I didn't buy enough wet cat food last week, they didn't have any boxes. Also have an Amazon order that hopefully the post lady will put in my mailbox this time and not the ditch.

I sleep well most nights every 6-8 weeks I might have a night where I just can't get to sleep so I take a Benadryl and that usually does the trick though I don't like the "fuzzy" feeling the next morning.

Glad the shots are working for you Tamagno!

Tamagno the absence of pain is giving you good sleep. I have found that sleep does get disturbed with some or the other body irregularity.

124 this morning.

I have had sleep difficulties for a long time.  Until my diagnosis of sleep apnea in 2009 I had no idea that malady even existed.  Since then my sleep has improved substantially. 

Today I am having an ingrown toenail removed.  I will be glad to be rid of that source of pain.

Weather today will be a high of 84 deg but our humidity is 90%.  It is getting dark lots sooner in the evening now.  Fall and Winter always seem to come too quickly.

Grammabear, your comment about fall weather reflects my thoughts also, but I didn't want to be first to mention it here. (Some remnants of unconscious magical thinking, I suppose.) The changes in sunlight seem to happen so terribly fast!

Thankfully, its still warm and with at least a few more weeks of that.

107 this morning.  A bit cooler here today with a high of 97° predicted for today.  The first day under 100° for a long time.  It is supposed to be around that for the rest of the week then back to 100°+ next week.  We are quite a ways from Fall here but the days are surely getting shorter and it is dark now when I get up in the morning.  The wind came up yesterday afternoon and it is supposed to be windy all day but it has driven the smoke out and is clear.

69° was the high yesterday and it rained on and off most of the day. Today's forecast is 63°/48° with showers in the morning.

I had planned to go out tomorrow to get the cat food I need as HungryRoot was supposed to come today. Their shipping is so weird. Box started in Stockton, CA then went to Oakland, CA then inexplicably to Memphis, TN where it is still sitting. So I am going to the store today and hope the food in the box is still good when it gets here.

It is getting dark lots sooner in the evening now.

Not here. Daylight starts somewhere around 5:45 am and lasts all the way up to 6:30 pm. My body clock somehow wakes me up at daybreak, no matter what time I sleep.

Today is extremely foggy because of the heat and humidity yesterday.  Visibility is extra poor.

I've been playing with an app called Sundial that tells me precisely transit times of both sun and moon. So, today, sunrise was at 5:37am and sunset is at 7:47pm. (For some time, I've suspected that the equinox dates we use are inaccurate so I thought I'd check - interesting.)

Usually, I'm up either at or before dawn, but some times of the year I seem to get confused. Regardless, I go to bed at 9pm - an inviolable rule.

Tamagno - The app you are playing with sounds quite interesting.  Do you ever find that your insulin requirements change with the seasons changing?

86 this morning.  As predicted it was cooler yesterday with a high of 94° and should be around that for the rest of the week.  Fires in Northern California are still a major problem and yesterday there was one started in the local mountains and evacuations in progress there.  This one is about 30 miles from where I used to live.
The Equinox is not based on the date but on the position of the Earth in it's orbit around the Sun so it can change a day or so each way.  We are two months past the Summer Equinox and the days are noticeably shorter here.  I also am in bed by 9:00 PM and usually get up around 5:30 AM out of habit.  Sunrise right now is about 6:15 AM so it is a bit dark when I get up.

Well, my Hungryroot box finally arrived today after a vacation in Memphis TN. Unfortunately it was thawed out and I had to trash 10 of the 20 items as they were meat and perishables that I didn't feel safe to eat. FedEx guy says all 2day/overnight shipments go through Memphis and they are understaffed. My box was marked 2 day, I feel it should have been overnight. Would that have made a difference? I don't know... I left a message on the site and once I hear back, I am going to cancel. Wasn't that impressed with the items anyway.
