104 this morning.  Weather here right now is pretty consistent with temps in the 90s and clear and sunny.   We sometimes get some rain in September but nothing in sight at this time.  California surely could use it.

119 this cloudy morning. Big thunderstorm blew through last night fair amount of rain.

Yesterday's high was 72°, today's forecast is 72°/50°. It is barely 60° right now so not too sure if it will get to 72°. Really feels like Fall here already.

114 this morning.

The "muggies" are back today.  It is 73 at present with a high of 88 deg F and humidity already 75%.  I think this is the 'last blast' of Summer here.

Time to think about taking plants inside and putting the garden to bed for the winter.  :(

83 this morning.  Still pretty much Summer here.  Yesterday our high was 99° overnight low 68° and it looks like that will be the norm for the next week.  It is going to be a while before we start to think of Winter and I hope we get some Fall like weather before it gets cold.

Snap Grammabear, 114 here this morning too.

68° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 73°/39°. My maple tree is half bright red and half green. It is beautiful but odd. Fall is definitely on its way here.

Some tackless yahoo neighbor on the other side of my pasture had a big party yesterday. Lots of noise/people and loud music booming all over the place. Who would think 9/11 would be a good day for a loud party????

112 this partly cloudy morning.

We did not have neighbors who threw a loud party, but we did see many, many LOUD motorcycles roaring by our place on the highway.  Most had music blaring so loud that we could hear it in our front yard.  Why anyone would want to destroy their hearing ability is beyond me.

Does anyone else ever run out of ideas for low carb meals?  Sometimes my 'inspiration' seems to be lacking.

95 this morning.  Weather here is the same today as yesterday and the same tomorrow.  Kind of boring but nice and sunny and the temp is cooler.
We have two neighbors behind us with pools and sometimes it can get kind of loud when they have friends over but this weekend it was quiet.  When I lived up on the mountain our nearest neighbor was about 1/4 mile away so it was pretty quiet but living in town with the houses close together you come to get used to more noise from neighbors but it isn't too bad and we don't really have a problem.
Grammabear, I have collected a vast assortment of recipes over the last few years but I don't often go through them to find something and usually am lazy enough to stick with a few I know by heart.  You may want to check the recipe thread in the forum, there are a lot of ideas there.

84 this partly cloudy morning.

69° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 73°/43°.

Grammabear, when I first started low carb/high fat I found about a zillion recipes many of which I tried and still have tucked away somewhere but this far down the road I usually end up just cooking a piece of meat and some veggies. I recently have actually been struggling with having any appetite for anything and have been augmenting with a serving of Boost some days.

Today is errand day need to go to Post Office to collect my bills and the grocery store. I swear, these cats eat more than I do!!

There are lots of ideas for LCHF on many websites. I have some recipes tucked away in my Blog as well.

110 this morning.

Last week when we went to the grocery store, we noticed how there seemed to be a lot of items advertised as items for "Autumn".  There was Autumn flavored coffee, Autumn flavored cold cereals and Autumn flavored "Twinkies" just for starters.  The prepared food industry must be big business.

bigskygal - I wonder if cat food is any cheaper on Amazon or would your mail carrier just throw it in your ditch?  At any rate, your kitties are equivalent to teenagers and that age young people have no end to their appetites.

83 this morning.  It is getting cooler but only by a couple of degrees but there is a lot of smoke from the wildfires in the mountains nearby.  Hoping for a wind shift to get it out of here.
When I go shopping for groceries I don't pay much attention to the promotions and I make a list before going and pretty much just get what is on my list.  If I "shop" I end up coming home with stuff I don't need or already have.   ~tnk~

So "shopping" is really not your thing?  :)  Please don't be insulted, but maybe it is a guy thing.  My husband is all for getting in and then getting out of the store asap.  He gets frustrated when I stop to read labels, but I explained how I need to know ingredients for carb count and content.  He 'tolerates' shopping now, but I don't think he likes it much.  :)

116 this mostly clear morning.

72° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is about the same as yesterday 73°/37°.

Grammabear, the cat food is a bit cheaper buying it local than on Amazon. About every 2 weeks I buy a 16 lb bag of kibble and a case of 32 tins of wet food. I'm feeding 5 cats, 3 kittens, mama and the old guy Meow Kitty.

Tummy was upset yesterday so only got to the PO taking it easy today, hope to get out tomorrow to the grocery and pharmacy to get more test strips.

Yes me too. Except when we are out on a holiday. Then, I don't mind spending a couple of hours in a mall.

105 this sunny morning.

Funny how the time my husband is willing to spend in a store is related to the subject at hand.  For example, yesterday we went to the home improvement store.  He has a outdoor painting project and in that store, he loses all track of time.  :)

Weather today appears to be sunny at 61 deg F, but we have 85% humidity.  Ideally I would like a lot less humidity.

Our doctor has made it easy to get the flu shot this year.  We made an appointment online, so we don't have to wonder when we will get it.
