84 this morning.  It looks like we will be in the low 70s to the high 60s for highs the rest of the week.  Thanksgiving day, Thursday, will be the coolest at 66°.  We aren't going to see "cold" temps until December apparently.
I am lazy and buy sugar free and low carb cookies on Amazon.  The brand is High Key and they are small.  A serving size is 7 cookies and has 21g of carbs but I usually have 3-4 and it satisfies my sweet craving without a big effect on mt bg. I probably only have them once or twice a month.
I am not a fan of cold and I am in long pants and warm shirts when it gets down to the 60s.   ~shvr~

101 this cold partly cloudy morning.

39° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 48°/23°. It was 20° when I got up it is up to 32° now. Kind of doubt it will get up to 48° today.

Wally - Thanks for mentioning the brand of cookies you purchase from Amazon.  They sound good and something one might indulge in on occasion.

Does anyone know a decent tasting brand of peanut butter, either on Amazon or online elsewhere?

126 this morning. It will take me about 10 days to bring down my BG levels to my normals. But I have always struggled to bring them below 100. I will be happy with 100 - 110

Thank you Shyam for the video of low carb cookies.  They look so delicious and hard to resist.  :)

94 this morning. It is going to be a couple of degrees cooler the next couple of days but not near cold.  Clear and sunny but dry.  There were several thousand of the giant Sequoia trees killed or damaged by the recent fires. These are the largest trees in the world and some are hundreds of years old.  They are normally fire resistant and actually depend on fire to push them to produce the seeds to grow new trees but they are not able to hold up to the extreme drought conditions we have been having.  These fires were natural and caused by lightening but we sure could do with a wetter season.

I have dozens of recipes for low carb foods and have tried several and still do make some but I have to be honest, I am generally lazy and if I can buy it I probably will.  The downside is that low carb items for sale are costly but fortunately I am satisfied with just a bite of something sweet so it lasts for a while.

I am also lazy most of the time.  But baking was my LOVE before Diabetes came along and spoiled everything.  I have been puttering around with baking occasionally recently.  In fact I made a pan of brownies for Thanksgiving that tastes wonderful.  Never mind I can only have a bite or two, but that will suffice for brownies.  I have no desire to send my blood sugar into the stratosphere.

86 this cold cloudy morning.

41° was the high yesterday, I knew it was never going to make it to 48°! Today's forecast is 37°/18° or 37°/27° depending on which site I look at...

skb, those cookies look really good, but I am kind of like Wally, if I can order/buy something I probably will do rather than baking my own. I used to make big tins of Christmas cookies for everyone, all different kinds, in the days before diabetes. Haven't baked much at all since dx in 2012.

Sad to hear of the loss of so many of the Sequoias.

We have lots of recipes on the channel in case anyone is interested. Since I have this habit of munching a little something with my tea, I need those cookies and my wife does a good job of keeping the jar full. Same thing with the bread. Market bread will send me skyrocketing, so home made it has to be.

126 again,

I'm glad you enjoy the baked goods your wife makes.  It is my opinion, but I think homemade foods are far more tasty than purchased foods from the market.  I can't always bake low carb things, but I prefer them.  I have mentioned Sourdough bread before and while I do have to monitor my consumption, it is more enjoyable than market bread.

97 this morning.  It is going to be a bit cooler today and tomorrow with the high around 66° then back to the mid 70s for the weekend.
I have tried some recipes for low carb bread without much success and I have bought low carb bread from Netrition that I didn't really like so I just kind of gave up on it.
I like sourdough also and at one time went through all the steps making my own but it is not friendly to my bg so I avoid it also.

32° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 39°/25°.

I haven't had good luck with baking low carb bread either. I do like sourdough bread so I buy a bag of sourdough dinner rolls and keep it in the freezer. Once in a while I will thaw one out, cut it in half and slather it with butter and days later eat the other half. An indulgence I only partake of once in a while.

113 today morning.

The LC Bread that we make is quite different from the ones available in the market. The morsels are thicker, don't melt away in the mouth and it becomes quite crispy and hard when toasted. It needs more chewing. Our first lots wouldn't hold together until we started to add yeast as a binder.
