Good job skb, being diligent is paying off for you.

125 this morning.

Lately the Dexcom cgm has come up with a different way of keeping track of blood glucose.  It is called "target-in-range".  It simply means the percentage of time one spends in their target range as in if your target range is 70-140 and you spend 75% or more of the time in that range, you are considered well controlled.  It is interesting because it allows us (in my opinion) to be human but also diligent in our control.  The Dexcom cgm app on my iphone tells what percentage of the time I am in range.  I don't always make it the best %, but I try.

It's only 23 deg F here today.

85 this morning.  We got just a slight drizzle of rain yesterday, enough to get the pavement wet but not enough to show on the rain gauge, still better than nothing.  We may be getting more significant rain next Monday and Tuesday.
My Contour Next meter records my readings to my iPhone on their app and it also shows readings above and below your target range.  I have mine set at 70-140 and you can change it to your liking.  Not as useful as with a CGM because it only shows the times you test but it is kind of useful.  I don't really pay much attention to it because I know if a reading is within my target or not but it does show trends over a few days.

115 this cloudy, drizzly, breezy morning.

39° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 48°/28° with possible snow showers in the afternoon.

Still babying the knee, I want to be able to run some errands tomorrow.

I was very happy the past two days having scored 102 and 101.
Today I ended up with 122. In trying to assign reason, we recalled that last night's dinner had some fresh peas added to the liver. Maybe that is the cause.

102 this morning.

During the night I noticed my BG was 134 probably because of the mixed nuts I had after supper.  I did a insulin correction and this morning it is much lower.  I best measure the portion of nuts I have now.  :(

We are forecast to receive snow flurries, but moisture of any kind is good for this area.

96 this morning.  There is rain today to the West and in the mountains but I don't think it well get here but it is cloudy and dark.
Grammabear, I don't see anything wrong with 134 during the night.  It may be different though because you have to adjust the insulin based on your readings.  In my case if I am at 134 after dinner it will be lower in the morning because my body is still producing insulin.  I guess it just makes it that much harder for you to keep in a range.

The number 134 for me during the day is fine, but at night the pump tries to keep my numbers between 110-120 (why I am not certain) and there are two 'modes' on this Tandem X2 pump:  sleep mode and CIQ (smart pump mode) .  I run it always in sleep mode because the target range is lower on that mode than on the CIQ mode.  The CIQ mode lets you run up to 180 before it does an automatic bolus for correction.  180 is NOT okay with me so I run the pump in sleep mode (which does not give automatic bolus) and I have to try to do a correction when necessary between meals and overnight.  It's complicated and sometimes I feel like pitching the pump across the room at the nearest wall as did Tamagno when he was with us.

As frustrating as the pump can be, it beats the alternative of multiple daily injections for me.

120 tis cloudy morning.

43° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 34°/21° with possible snow flurries.

Grammabear, that sounds very frustrating. One would think a pump would simplify things but it sounds just the opposite.

Does it give out a beep or some sort of alarm if you happen to cross a preset range.

I too believe that the best range to keep your numbers within is 80 - 120. As a T2, it's easier to spend a lot of time closer to the 80 than it is to keep it under 120. Like Wally said, I would be spending most of my post meal hours within 120-150.

Yes, the alarms can be set to be audible or vibrate (if one is in a meeting or a place where it is supposed to be quiet such as a place of worship).  The phone app for Dexcom G6 and for the pump can also be set for varying degrees of audible.  Sometimes the alarms are really annoying.

83 this morning.  They got about 9 inches of snow in the mountains and rain is some areas, nothing here but that was expected.  Sunny today but cooler and in the low 50s.

34° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 32°/21° with slight possibility of snow flurries.

My knee is sore today so I'm staying in another day and taking it easy again...
