93 this cloudy morning. Beautiful purple bruises are developing on my right knee, hip and elbow. Moving surprisingly better than I thought I would today.

53° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 45°/27° with a chance of rain.

Not knowing how I was going to feel for the next few days, I postponed my ultrasound on Monday for a week. Maybe the fourth time will be the charm!

bigskygal - I'm sorry you are all beat up and bruised.  Maybe if you have a warm shower or bath the muscles will relax a little.  I say this with love, but always try to wear either shoes or sturdy house slippers in the house.  I had an appointment Friday with the Podiatrist and he admonished me to never, ever go barefoot in the house or outside.  He also mentioned wearing house slippers with anti-skid soles, plus he said throw rugs are dangerous for us Seniors.  That being said, I hope a few days rest will find you perhaps ready to tolerate the ultrasound.  Be safe.

Barbara, here's a second hug for you. Do take care and hope you heal fast. I too am cautious as I have aged. I don't ride bikes anymore and even when I walk my eyes are mostly fixed on the ground ahead, more so in the deep woods where it is very easy to fall and break something.

129 today.

Grammabear, I was out shopping wearing my outside shoes with great protection.  I also wear shoes/slippers with anti skid soles in the house though sometime I barefoot it.
This fall was in part of the weight of the 24 pack of water bottles and and a loss of balance on the stairs. I have a history of falls and that worries me but at least this time I seem to have dodged a bullet.

84 this morning.

Quite cold here overnight and this morning, but sunny and hopefully warmer this afternoon.

Wally, my Fitbit app crashes every time I go into settings to manually sync or be sure it's properly connected. I have an app called Downdetector that reports the Fitbit servers still having problems. I can get on their web site, however, and see that there are quite a few reports of the same problem I'm having. It's been my experience, unfortunately, that Fitbit is slow to respond to these sorts of things. Fortunately, my watch seems still to sync, it's just so odd that the app is now not altogether working.

104 this morning.

My husband and I got our first Covid 19 vaccine yesterday.  We felt quite fatigued afterwards.  He has a sore arm but I managed to avoid that side effect.  My blood sugar spiked within an hour of getting the injection, otherwise I had just fatigue.  The local "Senior Center" was extremely well organized in administering the vaccine and in following the CDC guidelines.

Tamagno - I also have had troubles with the Fitbit app, but mine is only paired with my phone.  My fitbit device is an ancient one so I'm quite surprised it works at all.

Barbara - I mention this only because my Auntie used to have one of these 'carts' when she went shopping.  It is a foldable wheeled cart which carried her parcels so that she could focus on walking safely.  She had a muscular disease that made her leg muscles quite weak at random.

125 this morning.  I cheated last night and grabbed a few french fries my BIL had made and it shows this morning.
Another day in the low 70s today then cooling down a bit with windy days tomorrow through Wednesday but the chance of rain looks like it is very slight now.
Interesting Tamagno, my Fitbit is a Versa 2 and the app on my iPhone is working as usual.  I never go into settings to sync, I just pull down on the screen and it will update but usually it syncs automatically.  I wonder if we have the same version of the app ?
Barbara, glad you are doing better.  Unfortunately, no matter how much you try to be careful sometimes accidents happen.  Going barefoot in the house is one of my downfalls and I don't seem to learn from experience.

109 this partly cloudy morning.

High yesterday was around 50°, today's forecast is 48°/28°.

Thanks for the link Grammabear, this was just a dumb trip and fall while wrestling a 24 pack of water up the stairs of the porch. Doubt a cart would work for that.

Feeling worse today than yesterday, these old bones don't heal a quickly as they used to....

(((Gentle hugs))) to you Barbara.  Hope you feel better tomorrow.  Maybe whilst you are resting in your recliner, you could cover yourself with a warm blanket to soothe your muscles/bones.  That is what my hubby does when he is feeling tired or worn out.

I ate very well yesterday but this seems to be the backlog of all the bad eating in the forests that is striking back.

Barbara hope you feel better tomorrow.

149 this morning.

My CGM sensor failed right before bed (only two days after insertion) so this morning I had to - gasp - take a finger stick and install a new sensor. Obviously, I'll be calling Dexcom this morning.

Wally, my Fitbit app is up-to date. I've gone through the usual steps of uninstalling everything, etc. I've got two Wifi networks here as some devices operate only on 2.4 GHz so I use the older routers for those and the newer routers for the rest. Part of my morning routine includes clearing caches, giving some devices a hard restart and making sure they're connected to the correct network. I can no longer do that with my Versa 2 but maybe it doesn't matter. Now I'm thinking I ought to check to make sure it's on it's preferred network. I should be able to use only my Orbi router, but initially it was unreliable so I bridged it with my old Apple routers so I'd always have those as a standby especially since my wife has been conducting her business over the internet. Netgear products (the Orbi) have a way of misbehaving when their firmware is updated and their tech support isn't the greatest; you can find yourself deep in the weeds when you start tinkering with various more advanced settings so I'm always hesitant to do so. Could be it's time for me to re-examine everything in my LAN again...

101 this morning.

I had a 'flat line' on my CGM app on my phone this morning.  This means that my blood sugar was stable right around 100-110 for the past 12 hours.  For me, this is the first time since getting the Tandem X2 pump last November.  My first A1C done since then was 6.2%.

Wally - Have you had the second Covid 19 vaccine yet, and did you feel any of the side effects?

82 this morning.  Our chance of rain has dwindled down to almost nothing but they are expecting snow in the local mountains of 6-9 inches so that is good.
Tamagno, my home network is pretty simple.  I have only one router and everything connects to it.  I did have  bad experience with a wi-fi extender and for over a year my internet kept dropping out which I thought was the fault of my cable provider and by accident I found out that it was the extender all along.  Since I took it out of service I have had no interruptions.  Chasing down a problem like that can be quite a challenge.
Grammabear, I have an appointment for my second shot 3/30.  My side effects were a sore arm near the injection, some muscle soreness and feeling tired.  Today is the first day that I woke up feeling well rested and the tiredness seems to be gone.  Really not that bad.
