93 this sunny morning.

45° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 54°/25°. Didn't go out yesterday, wanted to give the road one more clear day. Will venture out today. Monday I have to go up to the hospital for the ultrasound...not looking forward to it, but I have put it off too many times...

skb, you are very lucky to have never been belted. As a child I was belted frequently, my mom had a temper and some of the child care people also were abusive. I was not a bad child by any means. I swore erly on I would never be like my mom and never was...

We grew up in an 'era' where it seemed to be alright to hurt a child whether it was physical or emotional.  I also had a Mum who had a short temper and would instruct my Dad to use the "belt" or the "razor strop" if me or my sister broke house rules.  Barbara - I understand and I'm glad you were a much more gentle Mum.  :)

That's how it usually works. I wonder why Grammabear didn't have an updated backup ? Hope they have set up an apple ID for you Grammabear.

Grammabear, like Wally my mobile devices all back up to the cloud which is easy to set up and then really has nothing needing maintenance. I've got devices using Android, Windows 10 and iOS; it amazes me that they all sync correctly and without any hassle and all that is backed up in mostly Apples cloud. Even if all that were lost I also have external back up drives on my Apple laptop.

BigSkyGal, the vaccine I got was Moderna.

Neither hot nor cold today is typical March weather for us.

skb - I haven't always made good decisions where my iphone is concerned - mostly because I had no one to ask on how to do things.  I also had my first iphone with a corrupted SIM card which took me forever to convince 'APPLE' that something was indeed wrong.  I had purchased that phone from Apple and it was guaranteed for a year.  It took me that long to convince them to send me a new SIM card under the warranty.  After that debacle I was very shy of "updating" my software to the Cloud.  So I turned off the automatic software update.  With this phone, the SE, I forgot the passcode and also didn't realize that you can't just punch in numbers trying to get it right.  The phone 'locked'and then I was in a world of hurt.  I took the phone to the carrier where they wiped it clean.  I have to start all over again with the apps because I had not backed it up correctly.  I used iTunes for backup when I guess I should have used iCloud.  Now the phone keeps telling me I need to finish setting up the phone with a new passcode which I do not want to do.  I have zero financial information anywhere on my phone.  My husband and I have been victims of identity theft, so there are very few places I order from online.  I guess I just don't trust devices as much as other people.

75 this morning.  It looks like we will be seeing more Spring like weather shortly and since Friday is the first day of Spring I guess that is fitting.
It's daylight savings time starting today and as usual it is going to take a while to adjust.  I don't know why as I don't have to get to go to work so I can stay in bed as long as I want but I still try to follow the same schedule for some reason.  Old habits die hard I guess, I usually get up around 5-5:30 AM and now it is dark then again.  I don't use an alarm, just used to waking up then.
I learned a long time ago the hard way that it was important to have a backup and since I am prone to forget I use automatic backup on all of my devices if I can.  I have Acronis on my Windows PC and it backs up every Friday.  I really don't want to lose what I have on my PC but I have before so the backup is peace of mind.

Wally - you make some excellent points about back up for the phone and the PC.  I am ashamed to admit I don't even know how to backup my PC.  I guess I do need that book "Computers for Dummies"  ;D

49° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 57°/32° and clear. The road still has some very bad areas but it is beginning to dry out. I have to go up to town for my ultrasound tomorrow hoping the road will be even better...

I'll know tomorrow, but I think it's made in India by the Serum Institute of India, and known as Covaxin.

Grammabear, you can opt for not having a passcode on the iPhone though the SE 2020 does use a passcode by default for start-up. I keep it simple by using my DoB or my wife's.

125 today morning. Yesterday was Cake day as we had a Zoom baby shower meeting. The parents to be are in Australia.

138 this morning.

BigSkyGal, I believe I have similar feelings in that I'm much more resistant to going out these days. Thus far, that reticence evaporates once I'm driving. Admittedly, after about a half hour of driving I'm eager to once again get home.

Still pretty cold nights and mornings here but the sun is getting noticeably higher. Warm weather will be so very nice.

Barbara - I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do.  It is hard to know what rules to follow - your own or someone else's these days.

87 this morning.  We are going to see cloudy skies and lots of wind today but other areas closer to the coast ae getting rain.  Looking forward to warmer weather next week.
Barbara, I sometimes feel like I just don't want to go out but living in town makes it a lot easier.  At most it is about 10 min. from one end of town to the other.  It used to be an hour round trip plus whatever driving I did when I got to town.  Maybe it will look better in the morning.

52° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 53°/32°.

Well, I wussed out and yet again rescheduled the ultrasound. I just couldn't go up to town. The most I am going to be able to do today is get the garbage up to the head of the road....man, I'm a mess!
