52° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 53°/32°.

Well, I wussed out and yet again rescheduled the ultrasound. I just couldn't go up to town. The most I am going to be able to do today is get the garbage up to the head of the road....man, I'm a mess!

(((Hugs)))  You are not a mess.  Maybe there is a reason why you feel you should not go to town today.  Nothing wrong with listening to your inner voice.  Take it easy today and be kind to yourself.

I took the jab. It wasn't Covaxin, but Covishield the one developed by Oxford-AstraZeneca. It's been more than 18 hours now and I have no adverse reaction to report. No fever and no fatigue the oft reported effects. There is some mild pain where I was injected. The nurse did goof up, because she said "Sorry" to me, though I didn't feel anything at the time.

Thanks Grammabear! I couldn't even make myself take the garbage up. Not really unusual though as I usually only take it up every other week. I feel so weird about all of this but in a way I am a hermit at heart and I am just following my nature...

When it's muddy like this, a lot of chores just don't have an easy way to do them and you know you'll be dragging in mud. Like you, BigSkyGal, getting much done in this just won't happen. Besides, ultrasound can be done in office and is more easily rescheduled than a CAT or PET scan.

Seems to me that March is dragging on and on along with days start with temperatures in the single digits in the morning, get up to 60 in the afternoon and then back down. Nothing for it but to just get through a bit at a time, I suppose.

127 this morning (and I have no clue where that came from).

All of our snow had melted and it surely looked like Spring was just around the corner.  But......Mother Nature had other ideas and now we have white stuff - again - covering the ground.  Our temperature is just 32 deg F so it isn't going to be melting very soon.

101 this morning.  I can't complain about the weather here.  Yesterday it was a bit cooler and very windy all day and last night but calm and sunny today.  We are going to warm up quite a bit in the next few days and except for the lack of rain it is going to be really nice.  The mountains did get quite a bit of snow, over a foot in some areas, and that helps.
Mud is something I don't have to deal with here and I am thankful for that.
Los Angeles is opening up a lot more and indoor dining, gyms and even movie theaters are going to be open with lower capacity.  I still would not go to any of these places but some people think it will happen to others but not them.
Glad you didn't have any bad side effects SKB.  I guess some places have held up on the
Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine because of a small number of people have had a problem with blood clots but the number was quite low.

52° again for a high yesterday, today's forecast is another 52°/28°.

Glad you didn't have any bad side effects from the vax skb. I'm still on the fence about getting it. I talked to the pharmacist about my anaphylactic history and he said it "shouldn't" be a problem, but recommended if I do get it to do it at the hospital. Hmmm...

It is easy for others to advise you about your anaphylactic history, but I do like your idea about possibly getting the vaccine at a hospital.  Maybe you will feel less stressed.  Its not the same, but I was not able to get the Shingles vaccine because one of the inert ingredients in that vaccine is gentamicin to which I'm highly allergic.  Gentamicin caused me a substantial hearing loss, so now it is part of my 'allergy' list.  I wish you the best Barbara in whatever you decide.

Yes I have read and heard about that and I sure do hope that this doesn't happen to anyone. 2-3 countries in Europe, including Germany has stopped using it. But that was the one available here and 1000s of people are being injected everyday. At 7+ billion doses globally required you can imagine how big this game is. And that gives rise to many stories, true and false.

125 this morning.

Things are looking like that up here as well, Grammabear. In fact, it'd probably be unusual if we didn't have some more snow before spring finally sets in.

Today I'm to see my cardiologist and got me to thinking about it and what I'd be doing if I didn't have my wife to help out. To be honest, BigSkyGal, it wouldn't surprise at all if I cancelled a visit like this which could be done any time. Also, it's looking gray and sort of raw out so I'd much prefer staying in.

It is also 'gray and dreary' looking here in the Midwest.  However I have a prescription for insulin that I should pick up at the pharmacy, so I will probably be going out in spite of my inner voice saying "It's a good day to be staying home."

Do any of you have a favorite Spring flower that comes up early?  We have some crocus flowers that peek through even when there is snow on the ground.

86 this morning.  Well, here we are looking at mostly Spring like weather with the highs in the 70s but there aren't any flowers showing up yet.  We do have a Mulberry tree that is budding out and that is normal and then we often have a freeze that kills the blooms. I think we will see flowers popping out soon.
Here our hospital is the main source for the vaccination.  I did feel more comfortable there if there was any problem.

53° was yesterday's high, today's forecast is 57°/30°. Tomorrow is predicted to be even warmer , by then the road may be fairly dried out. I hope because I want to make a quick trip to the grocery store.

The lilacs are usually the first to bloom here, but it is still too early. And like Wally said, we too often have a freeze which kills all the buds.

Can't say I exactly have a favorite spring flower. I do have a favorite spring color, though, which is the very fresh bright green flora that you see only in the spring up here.
