Quote from: walkerwally1 on March 31, 2021, 10:40:18 AM83 this morning.  It is still warming up and we may hit 90° over the weekend.  Next week it will be cooler and windy but still in the low 70s.
I got my second covid shot yesterday and so far I'm not feeling much of a reaction, arm is a bit sore where it was injected but not bad.  I recall after the first shot I felt it the most the second and third day so I'll just wait and see.
I like to organize items on my phone and iPad and put them where I want them instead of where Apple wants them.  I put like apps in a folder and that helps reduce clutter.

Wally, Please excuse my ignorance but how does one make a 'folder' on the phone?  If I put in a "google" search how to do this, will that suffice?

It is really easy to do.  If you hold your touch on an app it will start to wiggle and then you can move it anywhere you want.  If you have two apps you want to put into a folder you just move one over the other and that will form a folder with both apps in it.  Then you can move any other app you want into that folder by just moving it over the folder.  To access any app in the folder just touch the folder and it will open up and you can select the app you want.

I suppose it is possible. I did make a cup of broth to go with dinner with salt in it, will see how that goes... Thanks for the suggestion!

Press and hold an app icon till they start shaking a bit, and then drag it on top of another icon that you want to put / club in a folder.

This will create a folder with a suggested name. Tap the folder name to change it / type a name of your choosing.

Once the folder is created, in the same way you can drag other apps into it. Hope this is clear.

Barbara, I've been researching in an attempt to figure out why I have so many off days and extreme fatigue. It appears that in some 30% of cancer survivors - especially those who had breast cancer, lymphoma or cancer involving GI tract treated with radiation, chemo and surgery - experience extreme fatigue, brain fog and general malaise in an ongoing fashion. Seems like that's a pretty high percentage and it surprises me it's not discussed more often by oncologists. There's no consensus as to why it happens but I wouldn't be surprised to find it's exacerbated by auto-immune disorders including diabetes. Also not much discussion of effective treatment as there's little knowledge of the cause. Thus far, I've found no personal solution and simply stay in and sleep. Certainly couldn't hurt to try extra electrolytes as Grammabear suggests.

skb - Thank you for your excellent explanation of how to make a 'folder' on the iphone.  It certainly would free up space for me.

Tamagno - Do you think that getting enough sleep is a big part of how we feel from day to day?  I remember prior to being diagnosed with sleep apnea, I would fall asleep if I even sat down in a chair.

Barbara - I hope you feel better soon.  Maybe the stress of this past year and fear of getting covid if you go out - has caught up to you.  Be gentle to yourself.

85 this morning.  It is warming up even more and we will be in the low 90s tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday then cooling down just a bit next week and windy.  We had a dry March and it looks like a dry April.
A bit sore and kind of tired yesterday as expected after the shot but not really too bad.  My arm is sorer than last time but not that bad.
I'm not ready to change my habits but I do feel better having the vaccine.  I have to give the hospital credit for being very organized and it was pretty easy to get it done.

Well, this is a first! I forgot to take my fasting # this morning! When I got up there were 2 kitties at the back door waiting to be fed so I fed them. One eats by the kitchen slider the other on the side orch by the garage. Normally I feed them after taking bg so when I was done I just went about my regular morning routine... it was about a half hour before I realized my boo boo. sigh....

52° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 68°/36°.

Thanks skb for the reminder on how to make folders, it totally slipped my mind.

That's interesting Tamagno, yes, I had breast cancer and surgery but not radiation or chemo. I am having a hard time shaking this off feeling, maybe part is as Grammbear says compounded stress from the whole past year and worry over getting Covid. Maybe I would feel better if I got the vax, but I am afraid of that too...I'm still a mess...

It will clear screen space and clutter but not space on your phone, since the apps are still present and active.

Be alert and keep safe.

I suppose the occurrence of cancer itself would disturb homeostasis in the body. And then the treatment is also very taxing on all the systems. Science still does not have all the answers and never will but surely a lot of things do get disturbed in the body. Feeling down and out maybe one of them.

101 this morning.

Well, back to winter this morning. It's 16 outside this morning with predicted highs only in the low 30s. The good part of that is that I'll run wood stoves today and use up the wood already in the house so it doesn't have to be dragged back out to the woodshed for the summer.

Plague cases once again on the rise here as businesses demand employees return to offices. Very understandable in some cases and just plain silly in others.

113 this morning.

We went to the grocery store yesterday and every person we saw, but one brazen guy, wore a face mask.  The Plaque cases are also on the rise here.  We see more people out and about, but most are still wearing the mask.  Vaccine clinics are popping up all over our area.  Hubby and I will get our second shot on Saturday.  Sometimes I wonder if being fully vaccinated will permit us to safely go out to eat once again when that becomes available?

80 this morning.  It is warming up as predicted with a high of 80° yesterday and heading to 90° today.  Trees are starting to leaf out and flowers are starting to bloom.  I hope it starts to warm up East of here soon.  Right now it is shorts and T-shirt time here and I am going to enjoy it until it gets too hot to be outside.
I feel safer after getting the vaccine but I am not ready to change my habits.  People around here are doing a pretty good job of following guidelines but many areas are opening up more and more which may be OK but I am not ready to go anywhere there is a crowd.

86 this sunny morning.

Warming up here too, 68° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 68°/37°.

I think I am feeling better finally! Will see how the day goes. I need to go out to do some errands so that will really be the tell on how I feel.

We haven't had a spike here and I hope it stays that way! I'm starting to lean towards getting vaccinated but not fully decided...

Speaking of spikes the 2nd wave is hitting India hard. We had a peak of 98000 new cases in mid Sept 2020 down to a low of 9000 in mid Feb 2021. From there we are back to 81000 in 1.5 months.
The difference is that in Sept the cases were spread across India, this rise is restricted to a couple of states. Our state is contributing close to 60% of the new cases and this time around we hear of younger and fitter people getting afflicted. Movement restrictions have been imposed for the night but soon more restrictions are going to come into play.
