145 today and I don't know where that came from. Maybe I am coming up with something.

The soreness of the covid shot does hurt for a couple of days. Wifey had taken the first one day before and was running a slight temperature yesterday and the arm is hurting too.

For those of you using Fitbit you might be interested in looking at a new setting they've added for tracking glucose (it's tucked away in the Discover section). I had a look at it, but it requires manual entry of glucose readings and I've got significantly easier ways of tracking that. I'm guessing it's another step toward smart watches becoming true medical devices which I'm sure will be coming before long.

skb - Since everyone is different, it is hard to say how someone will react to the vaccine.  I do know that both my husband and I received our vaccine last Saturday and both of us had sore arms and were really fatigued.  My blood sugar numbers have been out of control since then, but are now settling down.

Tamagno - I also discovered Fitbit added the new glucose opportunity on their device.  I have a really OLD device which they no longer make called the "One".  When it ceases to work, I will not replace it.  The Steps App serves my purpose quite well.  I agree with you about having other ways of knowing glucose values.

Sweety - It is hard to be quarantined for a period of time.  Do stay safe and I am glad you hurried and got your groceries.

98 this morning.  It looks like we are in a rut weather wise and will be at the mid 80s for a few days.  We may get down to around 75° next week but then heading back up and the 90s are not far away.
I saw the Fitbit now had the option of adding your glucose readings but I have been using the Dario that plugs into my iPhone and connects to their app which keeps a pretty good record of your readings and shows averages and it is automatic.  I think if I had to manually enter the readings I would probably miss a lot.

I really dodged a bullet here. The roofer is my neighbor's son. He came out and looked at it and it is an easy fix that he won't even charge me for. I'll slip him a $20, he says it will just take him a few minutes to put the screws in to re anchor the covering. This young man (now 25) used to mow my lawn and was a very sweet boy. As much as my neighbors sometimes annoy me they have my back when I need help...

That's great news, BigSkyGal!

Grammabear, I'm just using Clarity these days as it's completely automatic and seems to have whatever information I might need. Honestly, though, I mostly just keep an eye on what percentage of the time I'm in range of acceptable glucose.

Barbara - Glad you got good news about your roof and it can be fixed without too much trouble.

Tamagno - I'm having big trouble with my bg numbers in the past week.  I have ordered some different infusion sets and I hope once they come, that maybe things will settle down.  It is hard to keep track of bg when you have to pay out of pocket for test strips.  I have not relied completely on the Cgm because I've had both hypos and hyperglycemia on the same day.

I like it OK but it isn't perfect.  The main reason I got it was that one day I went on Amazon and all of the sellers for the Contour Next strips that I was using had disappeared and the price for strips available had gone up way higher.  I was curious bout the Dario so I gave it  go.  I checked it with the Next One that I have and it is right there with it.  I always thought the Next One was pretty accurate so this one is at least as good.  The nice thing about it is that the plastic case everything comes in is small.  The whole outfit is about the same size as the Contour Next meter by itself.  The case is also the lancing device and the Dario unit and the test strips are kept inside it.  The unit plugs into your phone so it is a bit cumbersome to use as you have the phone to hold to add the blood drop.  I am not that fond of the lancing device but it works.  At home I use another one I have.  Probably the best thing is how compact it all is for anyone that needs to take a meter with them. Test strips on Amazon are about $0.33 each when you buy 300 and the Next One were about $0.45 each.

55° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 45°/23° with a small chance of rain.

I really was afraid I was going to have to replace the whole roof. I was so lucky it turned out as it did!!
