122 this morning.

I slept late this morning so I'm just getting started with things. It's a beautiful day here - this time of year is the most pleasant time in the northeast.

When I used to do the lawn myself it took about 1-1/2 hours if I rushed  and two normally, not including trimming. Now,  the service I use sends two guys and they're done (including string trimming and clean up) in no more than a half hour.

85 this morning.  A "cool" 80° yesterday but a great day to do a Tri-tip roast on the Traeger.   ~bbq~
It is going to be about 10° warmer today.
Yeah, the picture of the iris is my front yard.  I was just showing what it looks like to have xeriscaping which is seen at most of the homes in the area.  This house was built in 1974 and then a lawn and flowers were OK but now it is not allowed to conserve water.  The downside of having a lawn here is the cost of water which is more expensive every year.

75° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 82°/41°. In the long term forecast there is snow for Friday and Sunday... yep...

Quote from: Grammabear on May 17, 2021, 10:04:02 AMskb - I read on the news that there is a cyclone due to hit landfall in India.  I hope you and your family are safe.

Yup and it was severe. It rained heavily the whole day yesterday with strong gusty winds. I had been out to work and saw a lot of tree branches broken off and fallen down on the streets. It is cloudy and drizzling even as I speak.

100 fasting reading for today.

Things were pretty bad where I live. There are many large trees and we also had breakages. No power also for some time.

170 this morning.

SKB and Sweety, I'm so glad you're all right but sorry to hear of the power outages.  Hope things get cleaned up and back to normal quickly.

We're still slowly edging toward summer; actually, its the first year we've had a spring in many years and while its still too cool to sit outside, it won't be long now.

79 this sunny morning.

My CGM woke me at 3:00 a.m. with a low of 61.  All the alarms are for a purpose, but not really a great way to wake from a sound sleep.

skb and Sweety - I am glad to hear you both are safe, but sorry you were without power.  Cyclones are much like hurricanes and tornadoes - best avoided whenever possible or even IF possible.

I like Spring when it is warm enough to sit outside.  It is rare here to find those days because soon the mosquitoes will make an appearance and that makes being outside most unpleasant.

103 this morning.  We are heading to a high of 97° today so sitting outside is nice in the morning but later in the day not so much.  At 7:30AM it is 75° so pretty nice outside right now.
SKB, Sweety glad you are OK.

132 this partly cloudy morning.

79° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is much cooler with a 61°/43°. Snow forecast is now just a small amount on Thursday.

skb and Sweety glad to hear you are both safe.

I was sick with some sort of stomach bug yesterday. I hate throwing up! I was sweaty feeling all day but no temp (98.6°). Barely ate anything. Feeling a bit better today but already had a small vomit episode...not much in my stomach to come up. I stuck with chicken broth, right now I am sipping ginger tea and it will probably be another broth day... I need to go out tomorrow so I'm hoping this passes today.

The clylone is gone, but the dark skies and slight rain still remain. That gives some idea of the scale and size of this one.

I'm at 144 for no apparent reason, maybe something coming up.

160 this morning.

I'm glad SKB and Sweaty, that you got through the recent storm. Stay healthy.

Grammabear, I think the alarm settings and algorhythms Dexcom uses are a little heavy handed and go off too aggressively. While I may need that first alarm, I don't need it to be repeated every five minutes until it gets what it wants.  Honestly, I begin to feel as though it has become almost shrewish in its demands.

Today promises to be our first day with highs over 80! A good day to sit on the deck along with, perhaps, with a nap out there.

126 this morning.

Bigskygal - I hope your tummy is feeling better today and you are able to do your necessary errands.

Tamagno - I agree - alarms from Dexcom are shrewish!  There are times when I get so 'annoyed' by the "every 5 minute" alarms that I want to practice throwing the pump against the wall.  Of course I do not, but the aggravation is definitely there.  Supposedly Tandem has a software update before the FDA that will allow the user to set different limits...we shall see if or when it happens.

86 this morning.  We hit the predicted 95° yesterday and the winds didn't kick up like they said so that was a good thing.  We are going to see quite a drop in temp in the next couple of days down to the low 70s through the weekend.
I think the FDA operates on the assumption that people are too stupid to tailor a device to fit their own personal needs and figure a one size fits all is good enough.  Not allowing people to adjust a device to fit their own needs is not something I am a fan of.
Barbara, hope you feel better soon.

Did not take a fasting this morning or a bedtime last night. A rough couple of days...no sleep Sunday night on top of everything. Feel a bit foggy today after 2 days of basically fasting...not going out today...

79° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 48°/39°

My Boxed.com order finally arrived today. It took 7 days. Very disappointed the box was half open. Packing was very poor, 2 jars of pasta sauce leaked all over everything in the box. Very messy clean up. Ordered packets of tuna with crackers for snacks and the crackers were all crushed...(not that I planned to eat them but someone else might want to) would not recommend this service at all. Amazon has the occasional problem, but nothing like this mess...
