88 this morning.  It is going to start warming up now and the wind has let up so nicer outside.
Yeah SKB, in the USA auto emission standards are controlled by each state.  In California the test is required every two years and it is done by state licensed facilities.  You have to have the passed test sent to the DMV to get your registration for the year.  It is kind of a pain but my car has never had a problem but I still dread having to go through it.
I don't have a problem going out and shopping here but I do a lot on line because we don't have a very big selection in this town.  I only buy from Netrition a couple of times a year for a few things I can't find on Amazon or the local Walmart.

Wally - You are absolutely right in that each state has their own laws regarding emissions testing.  My state also has the 'every 2 years' law for testing the car....shows how much I knew about my car.  :)

117 this partly cloudy morning.

Yesterday's high was 44°, today's forecast, depending an which site I look at is either 61°/28° or 62°/43° big difference on the overnight...

I find myself very hesitant to go out...I've always been a hermit but this is even worse. I feel panic when I do go out. I have to go out today as I am almost out of cat food, can't let them go hungry...

Quote from: Tamagno on May 22, 2021, 09:01:36 AMIn the aftermath (sort of) of The Plague I find I'm increasingly unwilling to go out at all.  Often it just seems like too much work to go out and I make do with whatever I've got rather than go out.  Not sure if I ought to be concerned about it or not.

Even with the lockdown imposed (but not strictly enforced) there is a lot of traffic on the roads and some people do have to go to work, including me. The rules are strictly enforced for the shops that remain open only between 7am - 11am and places where public tends to gather, like malls, restaurants, cinema halls etc. Offices are permitted to remain open with skeletal staff.

163 this morning.

I've been just awfully exhausted the last few days and haven't really been able to do much of anything. I just hate when that's going on, which it does every now and then. Can't seem to figure out what sets it off, but even getting up from a chair seems too hard, let alone actually going and doing anything. (Just now I dozed off for a couple of minutes, for example.)

I'm hoping that once I've had coffee and breakfast I'll be okay and can manage doing a few things.  If any of you have a similar experience, I'd be grateful to know what you've done to get rid of it.  So far,  the usual vitamins (B12, iron, folic acid, etc.) haven't produced results.)

Tamagno - Has the Doctor checked you for anemia?  Maybe your blood count is low in iron and that might be why you are exhausted.

I recently purchased a nightshirt, made in India, from Wittmann Textiles.com.  It is one of the softest materials I have seen in a long time.

91 this morning.  Well, the low pressure system has passed through and it is going to warm up now.  Heading to 86° today and 92° tomorrow.  It won't be long before we see 100°.
Tamagno, I have felt more tired than normal for a long time which is bothersome but not terrible.  I have had all sorts of tests and the only thing that has come up is that I am slightly anemic and my doctor suggested that I may want to take an iron supplement which I did but it hasn't seemed to make any difference. Sorry I don't have anything that would help, I have just tried to learn to live with it.

110 this rainy morning.

58° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 46°/37° with rain most of the day.

I also have periods of fatigue. Maybe it is just part of getting older? I have been off all my supplements for over a month. There is something going on with my gag reflex and I choke on them whenever I try to swallow so I took a break for a while. Don't know if because I'm not taking something that is causing the fatigue. Don't think so though because I've had the tiredness for a while.

Could the barometric pressure changes that come with the changing of seasons, be partly responsible for this widespread fatigue amongst ourselves?

Interesting idea, but mine have been on going over several seasons beginning, mid and end of season...something may be causing this or it is just age catching up with us...

The other issue I have is my appetite comes and goes. Some days I have to force myself to eat others are more normal and 3 meals are not a problem.

Fatigue could be caused due to deficiencies or ageing muscles or both. Usually the thyroid is the first suspect as the free T3 are primarily responsible for the metabolic efficiency of the cells.

134 this morning.

Well, at least it's good to know I'm not the only one with this exhaustion. I know I'm generally anemic, I know I'm hypothyroid, I know I've lost most of my muscle weight as well as fat and I know I'm older with a body that's experienced a lot of disease and trauma. Like you, BigSkyGal, eating is something I have to work at doing (my current weight is 102). I suspect as many have mentioned that these periods of exhaustion are the cumulative result of all that; it just seems so extreme.

I think we should warn younger generations what to expect...

I don't know about anyone else, but no one ever advised me about what it meant to 'grow old gracefully.' What seems to work for me is to not schedule numerous activities all on the same day.  I like to spread out errands and household chores.

90 this morning.  We are warming up now nd we are probably going to see the 100° mark around the first or second of June.  Still, it has been a pretty nice May.
Yeah, change of season doesn't seem to have any effect on me either.  This is something I have experienced for quite a while.  I have had all kind of tests and nothing stands out except that I am slightly anemic.  Just getting older is probably the biggest factor so I am happy that I at least have the mobility that I do have.  One thing I don't have a problem with is eating !   ~bbq~

101 this cloudy, windy morning.

41° was the high yesterday, it rained all day yesterday. Today's forecast is 55°/45° with a small chance of rain.

Most days are OK but there are others I feel so tired and fuzzy I don't want to do anything. If I have planned to go out on a particular day and wake up feeling fuzzy, all plans go out the window. That is partly why my ultrasound got postponed so many times.
