118 this morning.

Thank you to all of you for sharing your thoughts about DP.  I've struggled with it for a good long while and maybe it is time to just 'relax' that part of my management chores.

Tamagno - I'm sad to hear your Dexcom was 'naughty' during the night.  That has also happened to me and I detest having to start all over again.  Be sure to call Dexcom so they can replace everything for you.  Most of the time they are quite good with that.

Our younger son and his two canine 'kids' will come for the weekend.  One of his furry kids is just 3-4 months old and has yet to discover that she has a "voice".  We're looking forward to seeing our son - and hopefully a hug or two now that Covid vaccines have taken place.

97 this morning.  It continues to warm up and now the weather predictors are saying we will get to the 100° on Sunday so it moves up another day.
This weekend is the Memorial Day holiday here in the USA and people are going to be traveling in greater numbers as covid restrictions have relaxed.  I am going to celebrate by staying home and firing up the BBQ.   ~bbq~

62° was the high yesterday, today is going to be warmer with a forecast high of 74°/44°.

Feeling better today, am going to try to make myself run a couple of errands. No plans for the weekend will just stay home as usual.

109 today morning.

We got hit with another cyclone, this time on the East coast. And maybe as a side effect, it rained a bit here. Just enough to get the grass wet, nothing much.

skb - Another cyclone?  Did this one do as much damage as the first did?

It has turned 'cold' here in our part of the country. It is only 45 deg F with a high of just 48 deg F today.  Not really a Spring season day.  We turned off our A/C and got the long sleeve sweatshirts out of storage.  My hot coffee sure tastes good on this cold, cloudy day.

Yup, but on the other coast which is like 2500 km away. Yes there was damage on that side, but we just had a bit of a drizzle.

Tamagno

137 this morning.

I woke early as usual but found myself so comfortable in bed that I lazily decided to stay there until after 8:00am.

Later this afternoon I'm finally going to see a spine specialist to see if anything can be done about my compression fractures. Back pain has gradually gotten worse to the point it inhibits my breathing and mobility - by the end of the day its just terrible and there seems to be very little I can do ameliorate it.  I'm very hopeful this guy can offer some solution!

Tamagno, hope you get a good answer to your back problems.  That can't be easy to deal with.

Tamagno

154 this morning.

A complicated day yesterday that ended in the ER where I got an injection of Dilaudid and a CAT scan. The upshot is that the pleural effusion I've had for a couple of years has grown and shifted causing the pain. They sent me home with more Dilaudid and a plan to get the effusion drained after Memorial day. The good news is that that procedure is an outpatient affair and shouldn't be difficult.

After a somewhat drugged sleep I've woken feeling pretty well but I can feel that pain just lurking in wait. I dislike opiates but at least can take more if the pain grows worse. It appears there a few sorts of back specialists and part of the trick is getting to the right one - which in this case turns out to be a pulmonologist. Once more highlighting the dangers of self-diagnosis as well as the need to have a good PCP to make the right referral.

Meanwhile I'm glad at least to be able to sit in reasonable comfort for a few days until I can get the whole thing resolved.

Tamagno - I feel slightly relieved to know that you had a bit of sleep, even though it was slightly drugged.  The news about your back sounds like there is help for your pain and that the Doctor sounds reasonable in his approach. Hopefully you will get some rest even while sitting.

Our son and his furry kids arrived yesterday.  It is so amusing watching the younger puppy play with her brother.  I had forgotten how tiny a puppy really is.  Their little noses are always going for whatever smells are interesting to them.

96 this morning.  It looks like the whole West is gong to be in a heat wave over the weekend but it is normal here in the desert.
Tamagno, glad you at least have a course of action, hoping for a resolution soon.

I missed the high yesterday, somewhere around 70°. Today's forecast is 68°/32°.

Tamagno, glad you got some relief and have a plan going forward. Hope it all works out and brings you relief.
