 ~flr~ Happy Birthday Barbara.

I was surprised why the Calendar missed your Birthday. Did you get an email from the Forum ? When I checked your Profile the year of your birth was filled in as 1004 and that could be why, because I can see Wally's upcoming Birthday. Hope, we don't miss it next year.

Tamagno, hope you get the answers and the right treatment soon.

No, no email from the forum either. 1004??? Don't know why it would say that. I was born in 1949. I have gotten the Birthday post every year so far, something has messed up things... can you fix skb? Shanny got one this year and she was already dead... still sad about that... hope it is not foreshadowing anything...

130 this morning.

Happy Birthday, Babara! Sure hope you enjoy that pie - sounds like a great splurge!

Well, it seems like the combination of tramadol and gabapentin are working or at least taking the edge off symptoms. BigSkyGal, I'd had a bad reaction to gabapentin some years back, but for some reason it seems okay now. I think its a considerably lower dose.

I still don't know the source of these problems nor can I take deep breaths. I begin to suspect I've reached the age at which doctors are inclined to treat palliatively with drugs...

Tamagno - Back in January when I saw a rheumatologist for the first time, he did xrays and then recommended injections in each of the joints on my hands and feet.  When I told him I would like to try a more 'conservative' approach, he prescribed Tramadol and told me I didn't need to return for further evaluation.  If you still have trouble breathing, maybe you could contact the Pulmonologist?

Our weather is warm with a high of 90 deg F, but the humidity is just 52%, really down from 75% yesterday.  It's time to mow the lawn again.

91 this morning.  Another 108° yesterday and it is supposed to be the same today.  I'm sure glad our humidity is low or it would be a lot worse.  We will be over 100° through Sunday and then in the 90s next week.
I think you are right Tamagno, it seems that most doctors, at least GPs, treat by prescribing a drug and if that doesn't work try another.  Then again that may be the best solution but seeing a specialist might provide a different answer.

98 this sunny morning.

85° was the high yesterday, a big thunderstorm rolled through last night a dramatic end to my Birthday! Today's forecast is 86°/57° fortunately humidity is not bad here.

Though my pcp is pretty clueless about diabetes, he is quick to refer me to a specialist when something is going on he can't deal with. Fortunately no problematic health issues at this point other than the elevated liver enzymes that have been going on for years.

136 this morning.

High temperature today in the upper 80s; wow!

Grammabear, you may be right about the pulmonologist as I can't breath deeply whether I'm in pain or not.

I ventured out a bit yesterday and found it difficult with a generous amount of pain starting shortly after I started driving; that continued until I went to bed and had taken tramadol. I'll be more careful today...

Yesterday we spent quite a long time mowing the lawn. Today we're tired. The weather was hot and humid and we were quite glad to be finished.

Tamagno - Maybe your oncologist could get the "ball rolling" in the right direction to give you relief so you can breathe better.  Be safe.

82 this morning.  We got to 106° yesterday and it should be a couple of degrees cooler today and tomorrow.  Monday we should be below the 100° mark for a while.
Tamagno, hope you can find some help for your problem.

80° was the high yesterday, but it felt warmer. Today's forecast is 75°/48° but it is already 80°, just hoping it doesn't get any higher... I don't do heat well at all, at least it isn't humid!

Thanks skb, I couldn't find where to change the date.

Take care Tamagno, I hope you can find a resolution to your breathing problem soon.
