Meloxicam was one of the prescriptions I was given when the sciatica was at it's worse but I didn't notice any effect on my blood sugar but I guess it might.  It is a NSIAD but I didn't really get much relief from it and stopped using it.  Hope it works better for you.
Type 2 since 1993.  Control with LCHF diet.

Swelling better, but tooth still aches some. I have put off finding a new dentist since mine retired midway through the first wave of Covid. Gotta get busy and find a new one!!
