83 before dinner last night.
Medicare pays for my test strips.  They originally allowed me 4/day when my doctor sent a prescription for that amount but a couple of years later they said my A1c was so low I only needed to test 2 times a day.  Never mind that I keep my A1c low by testing. I still test about 4 times a day and buy the extra myself.  I do get a fair price on Amazon for the Countour Next strips.  Testing before meals gives me some guidance on what I can eat and stay within my goals.
Type 2 since 1993.  Control with LCHF diet.

Exactly, I don't test that often any more either. I know what foods to avoid and what most foods will do to my bg. I test fasting and end of day and occasionally during the day just to make sure I am in range.

I've ordered some strips online for  my backup meter...delivery is way out there...guess diabetics are not on the essential delivery list... really??
