Yesterday I had two good workouts & was particularly strict about my carb intake. Wanted to deplete my glycogen levels and see better results as I have been languishing in the 120s & 130s every morning. So by dusk before dinner time I was at a decent 85. On better days I can touch the low 70s  ;D

Thanks to some good workout in the morning & a pretty strict watch on food, I was able to score an 83 pre dinner.
Somehow this is the number that makes me most happy as Dr B has said somewhere that it is the ideal number to have.  ;D

With DP in play, and your low 100s in the morning, it is quite likely that you are in the 70s late evening. Check someday & surprise yourself.

I saw the Endocrinologist's associate, who is a lovely young woman who is an advanced practice nurse.  We had a great discussion on low carb high fat way of eating.  She seems receptive to low carb eating not only for T2 but also for T1s.  They do what they call a 'bedside glucose' and my number was 97 and my A1C was 6.3.  I figured she might scold me for all the high numbers I had due to the infection, but she didn't.  I was so relieved.  I like her much better than her boss, the endo.

Both the numbers are pretty decent. Lucky for you to have found a receptive practitioner. What did she have to say about HF ? T1 do benefit by way of The Law of Smaller Numbers.

She didn't spend a whole lot of time discussing the HF portion of LCHF, but she did say it was perfectly fine to enjoy butter, bacon and such as that.  She also said that "officially" she can't get into the more intricate parts of nutrition as that really isn't her specialty.  But she has a great interest in all diabetics being able to test their blood sugar as needed and she also has an interest in CGMs being available to those people with diabetes who want them.

She is a young woman who took the time to "listen" to my concerns and made sure I had her phone number if I have any questions about diabetes self management between appointments.  I have waited literally years to meet someone like her.  And to think I came very close to cancelling the appointment with her just because I was afraid of being scolded for my poor numbers.  She is a blessing.

Sunday, being a rest day, I always indulge in some untimely eating & ended up at 109 after my evening 2 km walk/run. The normal is high 70s or low 80s, so I had to compensate with no dinner to get back to my normal morning numbers.

Couple of times that I checked, I found myself in the 80s. I need to get into the habit of checking pre-dinner more often. But I'm bushed after the gym and forget it most times.
