130 this sunny morning. Slept really late for me, kitties were not happy...

58° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 72°/39°.

Nice A1c Wally! Sorry you are having problems from the Covid.

Wally,

You have always reported low A1c numbers and my own theory is, if someone is low on Hemoglobin or anemic the A1c also tends to be low. May not be the case with you, but I have seen people like that. They have random BG in excess of 200 but A1c in the 4 to 5 range.

About Covid, I'll start believing what "they" say or medical literature, 20 years from now. For today, most of what's going on is guess work. On the other hand, respiratory problems have been associated with Covid infections and could be true based on their sheer numbers. Your infection maybe a left over from Covid, though my question still would be, why the use of the word "Chronic" if it is recent.

The above is my ~2cnt~ worth and please don't take offence at anything I say.

I changed my box of strips today and report a 117 for this morning. However, I dined at a dinner-meeting and had an extra shot of vodka, so that could have helped. I will know for sure tomorrow.

103 this morning.  Actually when I look at my bg readings over time the 5% A1c is not that far out of line.  I did have some high readings in the hospital, in the 200 range, but I also am often in the 80s range for my fasting numbers so I am not going to worry about it.
The Chronic fibrosis is the diagnosis from the doctor that interpreted the CT Scan but that is just a fact that the scan showed it why he used chronic I don't know..  My cardiologist is the one that associated it to covid because he has seen several patients that have had covid and also had fibrosis of the lungs. It is a pretty small sample but then it does make sense as I had a chest X-ray last year and there were no signs of fibrosis then.

125 this sunny morning. Slept late again don't know what is up with that.

68° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 71°/35°. The leaves are turning, my little maple tree is nearly bare already.

Recorded a 98 today but the size of the blood drop was again an issue and so I don't trust this reading.

It's mid Oct and the rains are still lashing the city on and off. Not very rare at this time but the intensity sure is high.

I'm struggling with my numbers too skb. I can't figure out why they are so high, I am very careful what I eat but still getting #'s that are much higher than I expect. The weather is changing here, maybe the cold id doing something. I don't want to put my heat up too high as in the Winter, they raise the cost of natural gas...nice huh?

104 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 92° and should be about the same today.  It is supposed to start cooling down a bit starting tomorrow but not a lot.
We spent a bit for additional insulation for this house after moving in, replaced all windows with double pane, added another 6 inches of insulation in the attic and adding another 4 inches of insulation on the West wall as it gets really hot as the sun gets lower in the West in the afternoon.  These were done primarily for the Summer heat but also help in the Winter.  Our natural gas bill in the winter is really not that bad and we both are comfortable at 75° so that is where we keep the thermostat.

No reading this morning. Got up at more of a regular time but after I fed the hungry herd of kitties, I just made my tea and sat down. It was a few minutes before I realized I didn't do a fasting reading.  Oh well, it happens...

62° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 71°/40°.

Yeah Wally, I keep my house at about 72°, may bump it up a tiny bit when the temps get below 0° in the Winter. But even so, my gas bill about doubles in the Winter when they up the fees... Just doesn't feel fair.

I mostly watch News or current affairs related talk shows on TV. Yesterday I was listening to someone suggesting that Putin has gained a lot economically from the Ukraine war as the Rouble has made substantial gains, and he is deliberately extending the conflict as winter is setting in and Europe is going to need gas for their heating needs. Already the governments there, have cut down supplies or are raising the costs. That's what my daughter told me. She's in Hungary.

70-75o F is a very human friendly range, and as we age, we like to keep warmer. Even I like to keep the AC at 24-25o C when 10 years ago it would be 22oC

105 this morning.  Our high was 93° yesterday and is supposed to be 90° today.  Starting tomorrow we are supposed to be in the 80s which is nice but still kind of high for the middle of October.
When we lived up on the mountain the only heat sources we had were propane or wood.  We had wood stoves in the living room and in the enclosed back porch and had them both going a lot of the time.  We also had a propane FAU to heat the house when the wood stoves were not being used.  There we kept the thermostat at 72° and were happy to have it that warm.  Propane got really expensive and wood also got more expensive each year.  It was about $50 a cord when we were first there and around $400 a cord when we left.
Coming to town where we had natural gas that was about 20% the cost of propane it didn't feel excessive to start keeping the thermostat at 75° and yeah, as I have gotten older I feel the cold more and need it to be warmer.

119 this cool sunny morning.

64° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 70°/33°. Slept late again this morning, the cooler weather makes staying in bed very inviting... kitties not so happy about it.
