101 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 88° as predicted and should be the same today so finally under the 90° mark.  Overnight low was 55° so cooling down nice at night.
I had a dental cleaning and exam last week and I need some work so I need to go have an X-ray today of one tooth that needs a crown and it is needed for the insurance approval.  Glad I have insurance as the cost is $900 and the insurance will cover $600 of that so it helps.

102 this sunny morning.

60° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 73°/33°.

I have to go out today to mail my bills and check the PO, a quick grocery run and get more gin for the raisins. I have to admit I am kind of surprised at how well they work!

87 this morning.  I was a good boy last night  ~clp~
Our high yesterday was 88° and should be the same today.  Mostly sunny with no wind so pretty nice.
I bought a new monitor for my desktop computer, sorry SKB not on Amazon, and it is a 32 inch curved monitor.  I didn't realize how big it would be but I should have had an idea as my old one was 24 inch.  Thin thing is huge but it is pretty nice.  Because of the size the curved feature makes it more immersive and easier to see all of the screen at once.  It is designed as a gaming monitor and it isn't the top of the line for gaming but pretty good for the price, $300, and the next version up from this is $1000 so I am not a hard core gamer and would not spend that much.

125 this cold sunny morning.

58° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 73°/33°.  It is only 38° right now, going to wait until it warms up a bit before I go out.

Sounds like a pretty cool new computer Wally!

134 today. Some improvement. More required.

Wally,

I use a 21" monitor with my desktop at home. My laptop is a standard 15".
During the pandemic lockdowns, I started to make YouTube videos with a Camera and a collar mic that I had. I bought a Video Editing s/w online, as I needed one. At that time I really felt the need for a bigger monitor for video editing, but at that time all the deliveries had been stopped. Secondly, the editor was installed on my laptop, so I had to make do with what I had. When I look back at some of my videos, I think I did a pretty decent job with what I had. Never been attracted to gaming though. I would be interested in a good setup with a joystick and all, for the latest MS Flight Simulator though.

131 this clear morning. Considering I barely ate anything and what I did came back out, not too bad. I feel better but my body is wrecked from all the stress yesterday.

60° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 72°/35°. Right now at 8:20 AM it is 28° outside so I have my doubts about the 72°.

I think I am just going to stay put today. I may have a bill that will be a bit late, but at this point don't have the strength. I think I'm better off getting some nutrition in and not push myself. I can take some of the bills to my mailbox on the road but one needs to be copied and my printer died a few years ago so I do have to go out to copy it. Plus there is already an Amazon package at the street and another small one coming USPS today.

103 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 89° and it should be the same today and tomorrow.  It looks like we will have quite a drop in the temp over the weekend.
Barbara, I pay all of my bills on-line nowadays and it just seems to make everything easier.  Another plus is no stamps!
Yeah SKB, going from 24 inch to 32 inch is quite a change but it is better the more I get used to it.  I had MS Flight Sim years ago and you are right it would look pretty good on this monitor, food for thought.

118 today.

Whenever I visit my Architect's office (two of them actually) they both use 32" monitors as it becomes easy for the client and for them to see the screen, discuss the plans, and that sort of thing.

106 this sunny cold morning.

60° was the high , today's forecast is 68°/43°. It is really cold right now, 22°. I am going to wait for it to warm up if I can make it out today. I really need to be able to. Had 2 nose bleeds yesterday, at 3PM and at 7PM, so I will try to get out earlier than 3PM just in case. I do feel better today...

104 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 90° and will probably be the same today and tomorrow but it is supposed to drop about 10° Saturday and next week will be in the 70s!
~clp~
Wow, I really hope you are feeling better now Barbara.
Yeah SKB, I can see where this size of a monitor would be a big asset to let two or more view it together.  The thing I am liking is what they describe as immersive and it really does make it feel more like you are part of the scene in an action game.  This monitor has a 1000r curve which is more of a curve than most curved monitors on the market today.  I like it and the more I use it the more natural it feels.
I saw my cardiologist yesterday and the monitor I wore for a week results show I have tachycardia which is a higher than normal heart rate but I have checked my resting heart rate several times a day and it is always around 80 which is not too high but I think what he is concerned about is that the monitor shows it irregular.  I had an incident a few days ago where I was trying to get out of the chair at my computer desk and I was trying to talk to my BIL and I could not stand and I could not make words come out. I didn't realize it but my BIL said it was about 5 min until I stood up and started to talk normal.  I told my cardiologist about it and he nodded his head, it was a stroke and fortunately a small one but the clot comes directly from the heart and is common with A-FIB or an irregular heart beat.  He has started me on a new prescription that is to prevent exactly that kind of blood clot so hoping that works as intended.  Of course there is no generic for this so my cost is higher but my insurance covers most of it.

Wow Wally! I can't LIKE that post. That must have been scary! Glad you are able to get some medication to control it and I hope it works well.

Thanks, yes I do feel better but had a small bleed this morning, so not going anywhere today either. My bill is late as of today so I don't think one more day will make a huge difference. Once I have a nose bleed I have to be very careful about movement, that seems to bring it on more. Another weird thing that happened the last 2 days is when my left nostril bleeds, I have blood in my left eye too. Yesterday my right one bled but no blood in right eye. Right bleed was much lighter, I can only think that because left is much more heavy and I have to squeeze my nose for a lot longer that I am forcing blood into my eye. I have to do some research. Weirdness!

Actually it wasn't scary at the time because I didn't really know what was happening.  I was trying to talk and for some reason I was having a hard time making words but didn't think of a stroke.  It was later when I realized what had apparently happened then it was a bit scary.  Apparently it is common when you have certain heart conditions and I apparently do and the clot forms in the heart and goes straight to the brain.  I researched the drug he gave me and that is it's sole purpose, to dissolve clots formed in the heart.
I don't know if you have one in your area but maybe an Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor could help you with the nose bleeding.  That can't be easy to deal with so often.  I had a real problem with none bleeding when I was a kid and an ENT told my mother that the veins in my nose were very close to the surface and that I should grow out of it but if not there were things they could do.  I did grow out of it so I never went back for any thing more but maybe there is something that will take care of it.

I actually do have an ENT dr. But he is up in town and I am not comfortable going up there yet. I can't imagine getting one of these bleeds behind a mask!

Had 2 very small bleeds in the morning and a big one at 2:30PM. (Interesting that one yesterday was at 3PM.) I should not have tried to unpack all of my Amazon box at one time! Too much bending and lifting.

Oh Gosh, that is scary Wally. Having gone through cardiac issues and having gone through Arrhythmia I can relate very well with what you must have gone through. I'm curious to know what are the drugs being used in that formulation. Normally, they use combinations of Aspirin, Clobidogrel etc which are touted as blood thinners but in fact are anti-coagulants.

Barbara,
You too, have been posting things that make me worried. Are the nose bleeds due to winter dryness or is it something else ?

On a lighter note, let's all resolve to live for a few more years and keep this place going.  :D
