104 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 89° and it should be the same today but it will drop about 10° tomorrow and another 10-12° Sunday so maybe really feeling more like Fall!
Yeah SKB it is kind of scary but interesting enough not at the time but looking back and realizing what happened.  I was taking a blood thinner, Brilinta which is the same type as Clobidogrel and had stopped taking it because I thought it was causing excessive bleeding.  Probably not the best decision to make.  The RX he started me on is Eliquis:

Eliquis - Uses, Side Effects, and More
GENERIC NAME: APIXABAN
Apixaban is used to prevent serious blood clots from forming due to a certain irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) or after hip/knee replacement surgery. With atrial fibrillation, part of the heart does not beat the way it should. This can lead to blood clots forming, which can travel to other parts of your body (such as the lungs or legs) or increase your risk for stroke. In the United States, apixaban is also approved to treat certain types of blood clots (deep vein thrombosis-DVT, pulmonary embolus-PE) and to prevent them from forming again.

I do hope that it works as it is supposed to.  I do plan to be around a few more years!   ~wsp~

102 this cloudy morning.

56° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 58°/37° with a pretty good chance of rain.

Had a bumpy night, woke at 3:15 AM went to bathroom, then up again just after 7AM bathroom again. Just couldn't find a comfortable spot. When I went back to bed after 7AM I rearranged my pillows and found the spot! Slept soundly until 10:20AM. Sheeseh, whole day seems out of whack! Just gave kitties dry food for now, will give them more dry and their morning wet in a bit. I have to get myself together, heart seems to be pounding. Need to get calmed down. Don't think I'm going out today either...

2 big boxes from Amazon just arrived, I'm going to take all day to unpack...slowly.

Yeah skb, like Wally, I plan to be around for as long as the Universe provides. Many years I hope!

~100~

We are in midst of Diwali which is the biggest festival here and the holidays sort of start off today and so does the bad eating. So I won't be testing for the next few days. Something like what I say on Sunday afternoons, "Oh Lord, forgive me, for I have ginned."

skb, I never answered your question about the nose bleeds. The first batch I had a while back, the only thing I can think is I have some sort of allergy to camphor. I was trying all sorts of rubs and patches on my knee that had camphor (and menthol) in them. When I stopped all of those products the nose bleeds stopped. Yes, this recent batch might well be because of the dry air. I have put pots of water on the heater vent in the living room and in my bedroom. It may be helping as I had no nose bleeds today...

I should probably check Amazon for humidifiers.

106 this cloudy morning.

55° was the high yesterday. Steady light rain all evening and overnight. Today's forecast is 42°/34° intermittent rain and a possibility of snow overnight and tomorrow morning.

Feeling much better, no bloody nose at all yesterday. Yay!! Must go out today to mail bills & shop. Not knowing how much snow there will be, want to get out late morning/early afternoon and home as fast as possible.

106 this cloudy lightly snowing morning.

52° I think was the high, kind of missed checking by the time I unloaded most of the car (rest I will do today). Rained in the evening. Today's forecast is 45°/28° so if it rains, will probably be snow. The snow that fell this morning didn't last on the ground a minute, but Winter will be in full force soon enough.

I feel so much better now that I got out and took care of my mail and errands. And in general feel better health-wise.

The copy shop is in the Pharmacy so I talked to the Pharmacist about my bloody nose issue. He said the repeated ones were probably because my nose didn't heal between incidents. He said to apply ice to back of my neck to stop the bleeding as those veins supplied the nose. Not much else to do...

Sounds like good advice. No harm in trying that.

102 this morning. Our high yesterday was 69° just one degree over the predicted high and it is supposed to be 70° today.  Overnight lows have been colder also in the low 40s.
That does sound like good advice Barbara.  I remember when I was young and had nose bleeding problems my mom used an ice pack on the back of my neck from the advice of my doctor and it did work.  I forgot all about that!

124 this mostly cloudy, breezy morning.

43° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 50°/34° with showers in afternoon and evening.

I will definitely do the ice on back of neck, I'm just hoping I don't have any more of these darn bloody nose incidents.

True. There are times (such as this) when home remedies work the best.

Quote from: bigskygalI will definitely do the ice on back of neck, I'm just hoping I don't have any more of these darn bloody nose incidents.

Accidentally blew my nose , I have been trying not to since last incident. Left nostril started to bleed, of course on my brand new flannel shirt! Cleaned that up got tissue and ice packs for my neck. Tiny ones worked for a bit but the larger one stopped the bleeding so fast! Dr Google didn't say anything about ice on the back of neck...worked like a charm.

I don't know how much blood I have lost in the last week, but I feel exhausted. Fell asleep this afternoon in my recliner for an hour. Forcing myself to eat as I know I need the nutrition. At this point cheese and small pieces of spinach naan.

Messed up the quote... too tired to try to fix
