108 this snowy morning.

40° was the high yesterday with on and off snow. Today's forecast is 39°/23° with maybe some snow flurries. Woke to 2+" of snow on the ground. I just can't risk shoveling snow so I have some pretty impatient kitties at the door looking for their breakfast.

I may be a bad kitty mama, but I'm working on day 5 of no bloody nose and I want to keep it that way.

I fed them shortly after I posted. In the cold weather I warm their wet food by the heater vent so they get warm food on kibble 2X a day. Mama spoils her babies...

My next Chewy order doesn't ship until 11/11 I may have to go out to get more kibble to tide me over.. Will change auto/shipping to 4 weeks instead of 5 weeks.

Yikes! 60# of kibble and 64 tins of food every 4 weeks???  I need to find someone that wants barn cats! These kitties are great mousers!

I'm working on day 5 of no bloody nose and I want to keep it that way.

Do keep it that way and that is really good news.

For us, the winter only means shorter and drier days but hardly any drop in temperature. We live in a Standard 365 days zone.

104 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 60° and it may be a bit warmer today but the wind is supposed to start in a bit and be pretty windy today.  Tomorrow is still looking like a pretty good chance of rain, at least in the morning.  I would love to see a downpour but will be happy with anything.  They are expecting a fair amount of snow in the mountains and that is really important.

105 this snowy morning. Snow wasn't in the forecast for today yet here it is... 11:08 and it is all of 28°.

Yesterday's high was 40°, today's forecast is 31°/17° with snow on and off most of the day. Won't be going out at all today...garbage can wait another week.

Moving into Winter mode here. All under sink cupboards open at night heater higher and water running in at least one sink to keep pipes from freezing overnight. This is the part of Winter I don't like

102 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 58° and it is probably going to be the same today.  We are getting a small drizzle, just enough to get the pavement wet but not really much of a rain, maybe a bit more later this morning but probably not.

No fasting this morning. I fell again last night getting ready for bed. Ribs on right side tender today.

As you would probably know. The mind doesn't know language. It's medium is imagery. So you are always sending images to your mind. It is not possible to make an image of "no bloody nose" without drawing up a bloody nose in it. That is the core at the concept of positive thinking. There is no point in reminding your mind of a bloody nose when you don't want one. Instead think of an alternative image.

Example : When you ask a 3 year old to fetch a glass of water, and then add "Be careful, don't drop it" you are in fact setting up the child for failure. Instead you should say something like "Hold the glass carefully"

101 this morning.  We got more rain yesterday than I expected.  it started out just kind of a sprinkle for most of the morning and didn't really do much but get the pavement wet and by noon we had just recorded .02 inches on my rain gauge but then we got a pretty steady rain with actual rain drops!  By the end we had over 1/3 inch which may not sound like much but for here is significant.  Mammoth Mountain Ski area in the Sierras got 3 feet and for two days 4 feet of new snow and that is really good.

131 this snowy morning. I just don't understand my #'s any more...

Having a hard time getting going today. Even the kitties have not come out yet. Snowing and 20° I guess they are hunkered down waiting for the snow to stop.

Wally, that sort of put a big smile on my face. I know that you live in the desert, but I have several times been in rain where the drops actually hurt, not like a hailstorm but they do hurt a bit.

Wow, the white blanket is back.

I have started to use my meter again. My first reading today after Diwali is 140 which is quite bad as we all know. So another work-in-progress.

After so many years I have now started to do some work in MS Access and Visual Basic. Satisfying, but so late. Sometimes I wish that the IT industry had been born a couple of decades earlier. I would have been a name to reckon with.

88 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 60° and that looks like where we will be for the next few days within a degree or so.  No more rain in sight for here but glad we got what we did.  The Mammoth Mountain Ski area in the Sierras is now at 5 feet of snow and that is the best it has been for a few years at this time of year.  Hoping that we can keep it up.
SKB, it is rare to have a heavy rainfall here but it can happen.  The heaviest rainfall I have seen was when I was in Vietnam and yes, that can rain hard enough to hurt'
I have attempted to do some programming and tried Visual Basic but didn't keep up with it.  I have worked on programming an Arduino which uses C++ and is based on Java.  I also have played around with Python to use with some Raspberry Pi projects but I never got too deep in either.  Like you I believe if I was exposed to what is available today I would have been much more involved.
