Yup, hope he calls in and sets things right.

Finally, after managing my food for a few days, I have a decent enough number to report. 113 this morning.

My Access + SQL + VBA training is keeping me quite occupied these days. Naturally, I joined a forum as the best resource for this. I met a retired gentleman from Scotland who is happy to help and is mentoring me for a couple of hours each day. We use Skype and AnyDesk for the lessons. Thanks to technology, and good people, I think I am getting somewhere in the game.

101 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 66° and it is going to be just a couple of degrees cooler today.  It looks like this will be our daytime temp until next week and then it will warm up a bit.  Next Thursday will be Thanksgiving Day for the USA and the tradition of "Black Friday" used to make the Friday after Thanksgiving the biggest sale day of the year.  Now stores and on line sellers celebrate "Black Friday" for weeks and sales have been going on at stores and Amazon and other on line sellers all month.

116 this frigid morning.

Yesterday's high was 25°, when I went to bed last night it was -3°. I left 2 faucets running not a trickle but more like a pencil or larger. Woke this morning to frozen pipes again. :( Temp outside right now 8:30AM is -10°. Today's forecast is 24°/4° or 24°/-3° depending on which site I look at.

I was actually starting to feel fairly normal again, but now I feel beaten down again. Haven't heard from plumber, but since I'm frozen, not much they can do at this point. I was going to go shopping today, but need to wait until water is back on. This is going to be a hard Winter (and it isn't even Winter yet!)...

Oh. That sure is freezing cold. It's good that you have your heat back on. Hopefully the plumbing issues will also be sorted out.

I'm again at 137 today. Could be 2 reasons that I could think of. One, I didn't workout yesterday evening as I got delayed, and Second, I had 3 slices of bread for dinner. The bread is home made but we're adding some Oats and Yeast to it. So, maybe, it is the bread.

85 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 65° and it should be the same today.  Right now it is pretty much the same each day but it is going to warm up a bit next week and we should be in the 70s on Thanksgiving Thursday.
Hope you get it fixed Barbara, -10° is pretty hard to keep from freezing plumbing.
I just read that West New York had over 70 inches (178cm) of snow yesterday.  Looking at this makes me wish that the USA had converted to metric years ago when they actually were going to try it but the public was too lazy to make the effort to learn a new system and balked so the Gov. scrapped the idea.  In this case to get from inches to feet you have to divide by 12 and that will get you 5.83333 so you have 5 feet and .83333 feet so you have to multiply .83333 x 12 and that will get you 9.9999 inches so it is 5 feet and 10 inches.  To get from cm to meters in the above example you just move the decimal 2 places to the left!

125 this freezing morning. I think part of that is stress... I was just starting to relax from last freezing and here I am again. Pump guy thinks now the pump is frozen before it was just pipes....

18° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 29°/-4°. Right now it is slowly going up, -10°. Tomorrow's daytime is still below freezing but starting Monday daytime temps are over freezing and by Tuesday in the 40's. Can't wait. This was the kind of weather I had when I first moved here, took a while to adjust but then it was warmer, not so many -0° temps. I guess the worm has turned and the extreme cold is back.

There is one kitty out at each feeding station. I know they are hungry but I don't want to make all the others come out in this cold to eat. They obviously have a safe protected space they are hunkered down in and I don't want them to come out too early.

Where the repair people stand: Pump guy this afternoon, or Sunday. The plumber Monday, if I have water. I just want this all to be over...

It is a bit complicated and painful, isn't it ? For the cm units, you can divide by 2.54 to get to the inches. Inches to feet is a mess.

101 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 61° and should be about the same today.  Our overnight low was 28° and it was funny, that was at 4:00 AM and at 5:00 AM it was 38° so a pretty big hike in an hour that early in the morning.  No wind here which is nice, on the coastal side of the mountains they are getting hammered by high winds again.
Geeze Barbara, hope you get the water situation fixed and back to normal soon.

125 this freezing morning. Right now, 9:04AM it is -3°, it was -5°when I got up 45 minutes ago...

15° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 32°/-3°. I sure hope they are right about the temps going up next week!

No water yet, pump guy said Sat afternoon or Sunday. He better come today or I'll have to cancel plumber for Monday. My only saving grace is I have power and heat. That is all that is keeping me sane right now.

I was going to zip out to grocery shop today, decided to wait until pump guy has been and see what time it is. Otherwise it will be after the plumber. I am scheduled for 12PM-2PM so at least I know when they will be here. The hose fix shouldn't take too long.

I hope this isn't how this Winter is going to go!

ETA: As of 12:30 PM I have water again! It is supposed to be -3° tonight so I will keep the heat up and faucets full on open and pray. Pump guy put an oil based heater in the pump house...hope that works better.

I wonder what is your source of water and how much does it cost ? I ask because water is scarce here and supplied by the Municipal authority, and they charge quite a lot I must say.

101 this morning.  The temps right now are pretty much the same but it is supposed to warm up a bit and even be in the 70s on Thursday, Thanksgiving day.
Off in just a bit for a mohs surgery on a small skin cancer on my face.  It was scheduled a few weeks ago but was put off because of my hospital stay.  It's not a big deal but I will be glad when it is over.

123 this cold cloudy morning.

yesterday's high was 18° today's forecast, depending which site I look at is either: 34°/2° or 34°/18°. Big difference in overnight. I'll take the second one please!

Water held overnight, 3 faucets running full on overnight and house is about 80°. Hopefully the oil based heater will do the trick.

Going shopping today and will stock up so I can stay put a good long time.
