108 this morning.  It warmed up a bit yesterday to 63° and it is supposed to be about the same today but getting warmer again tomorrow with a high of 69° predicted for tomorrow, Thursday and Friday  ~clp~
Really nice for February and then cooling down a bit after that.
The "call" from the doctor yesterday ended up being a video call after all so I had to get my MacBook out and this was the first time I have used it for that and it worked quite well.  The good news was that the results of the biopsy were negative which is good but the doctor seemed surprised.  She said she sent the biopsies to two different labs and got the same result but she said that these nodules on the thyroid in men usually are cancerous so she wants to keep an eye on it.  Not a bad idea and it will just be an ultrasound in 4 months.  I would rather keep an eye on it than forget about it.

107 this cloudy morning.

Yesterday's high was 42°, today's forecast is 45°/31° with the chance of rain/snow showers over night.

That is good news Wally! Smart too to keep an eye on it and catch anything that might come along early.

Didn't sleep well again last night (never really has been a consistent problem until lately) noises outside, scratching on window screen and dog barking in distance. Finally got up about 3AM to look outside and a bunch of kitties came running, looking for food maybe? Fed them some kibble and they quieted down. Sheesh hope this is not a habit they get into!

Very good news indeed. Yes keeping an eye on them is SOP and should be done.

That sounds a bit scary. I would keep a sidearm with me to investigate something like that, but then I don't have kitties.

I'm travelling again Thursday - Saturday so might not be posting.

103 this morning.  We had a high of 62° yesterday and it is warming up and supposed to get to 69° today.  Our overnight low was 33° so we will see if it can get to that.
Hope you are able to get better sleep Barbara.  I don't take naps during the day but probably would if my sleep was interrupted that much.  I am pretty much conked out when I am sleeping and a dog barking, even next door, will not bother me at all.  Sometimes it is more scary that I don't wake up at noises or even earth quakes but my BIL and dog help with that.

104 this partly cloudy morning.

48° was the high yesterday. A few snow showers earlier this morning, rest of day looks to be just partly cloudy. Forecast for today is 38°/23°.

It was windy last night and I figured out what some of the noises I heard the night before were. I have a lilac bush in front of my bedroom window which is just sticks at this point, they were hitting the screen and making one of the noises I heard. There must be some sort of night bird that made some of the other noises that got the neighbor's dog barking and then the kitties were galloping all over... I didn't get up (other than to pee) not worried about the sounds now... but it was kind of scary the night before.

I. have never been a daytime napper, yes, I have dozed off quite a few times in the evening, but have learned to just go to bed after that happens.

Ah. Good you figured it out. And I'm sure you've moved the plant a bit or trimmed it if it is not potted. I have 2 dogs and one of them barks on and off. I am a very very light sleeper and that keeps me awake sometimes. For the past year or so my time table has changed. I find it difficult to stay awake after 8:30-9:00 pm but then I am awake anytime between 2:00 and 4:00.

The lilac is planted in the ground (not by me, by former owners). I may trim it some, but I like the screening it provides. It is mainly before it leafs out that it makes so much noise in the wind.

103 this morning.  We got to a warm 71° yesterday!  Today will be close to that then it may start to cool just a bit.
It doesn't take much to set our dog off and start barking so it can be a rude awakening if she starts from her favorite spot in the hallway but she usually waits until she gets out the dog door to start.  It can be a bit of an annoyance but OTOH it makes it hard to sneak into the house so I don't really mind.

41° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 41°/20° still cold at night but at least the days are getting better!

Still waiting to hear if my neighbor will take me to run errands today. Yesterday she said "maybe Thursday" I hope today, I get panicky when  need to do something and have to depend on someone else. This part of being hurt sux!!

101 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 68° and it is supposed to be just a bit cooler today at 65°.  No rain in sight for the next 10 days, sigh, so hoping maybe something will come up before the end of the month.  After February we rarely get any rain.
Yeah Barbara, I know just how you feel.  I was lucky that I had my BIL here to take me where I needed to go after I got out of the hospital and could not drive. You are right that it sux and I am really happy that I can now drive myself.  You will get there but the wait is hard.

118 this sunny but cold morning.

34° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 42°/16° no rain or snow in forecast.

Well, my neighbor bailed on me yesterday, but said she will take me today. I will be so happy when I can drive again!! Now I worry about my car, it has been sitting in the garage not driven since Dec 15. Soonest I might be able to drive is Mar 16. I hope it will run OK. Will talk to my other neighbor to see what he thinks, may have to call AAA and have it towed to the shop... Hope not, hope it just needs a tweak or two and will be OK.

100 this cold but sunny morning.

Yesterday's high, that I caught on the thermometer when I got home from shopping, was 39°, probably not too far off from actual. Today's forecast is 42°/17° looks like nice weather for a while.

Did errands yesterday, tried t stock up to last me through 3/15 (hopefully last dr appointment) but know I won't make it so trolled Amazon for things to stretch my food supplies. I think my neighbor is about burned out taking me around...

Kitties were fighting a bit in the evening, I think a stray found its way to their food dishes...

Think I have found a partial solution to having to get up so often at night to pee... I think the brace is putting pressure on me when I side sleep, so the last couple of nights I have tried to mostly sleep on my back and have only gotten up a couple of times instead of 4+ times. Sure hope that is the solution.

105 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 65° and it is only supposed to be a couple of degrees cooler today at 63° then tomorrow and Monday back up to 69° so still quite warm.  It is going to cool down next week and be in the mid 50s.
I am lucky here in town in that if needed I could have anything from Walmart, groceries included, delivered the same day from the local store for free.  I haven't needed it but it is there.  My BIL does most of the grocery shopping and I get a lot from Amazon also.
I never used to sleep on my back, just didn't like it, but after having some medical problems I had no choice and finally started to like it and now I sleep on my back most of the time. I do sometimes roll over on my side and it is comfortable and I seem to go into a deeper sleep then.  Of course I am not dealing with that brace so different.
