I have been getting all sorts of spam re Amazon, that my Prime account is expired (wrong!), that there is something wrong with check I used (wrong used debit card). I usually just ignore these but the frequency is beginning to bother me...

I hope you don't save your important passwords in your browser.

Hmm, maybe a couple I do but I have different levels of passwords for important things (bank, medical and I think Amazon, will have to check that one...) which I don't store and lesser important ones that are different and not to important sites, like Chewy, etc.

The messages I am getting have no Amazon markings and come in my Messages not email, I think it is just random spamming. For a while a year or so ago I got a bunch saying my Netflix account was going to be suspended. LOL, I haven't had Netflix for at least 15 years!! Same type of messages in My Messages folder.

108 this morning.  Well, the storm is out of here and we ended up with just over 1 inch of rain.  Some areas in Southern California had over 8 inches of rain and the mountains had feet of snow.  On the coast side of the mountains they are going to have more rain and snow today. Tuesday and Wednesday.  It is another storm system and not as big as "Piper" which is hitting the Midwest right now and heading to the North East. 
I have been getting more spam in my email lately but it seems to run in spurts.  I don't have any problem just deleting them, they hope you will click on them or answer them so they can do their dirty little deeds.  Don't worry about the frequency, they send out thousands, maybe millions, over and over hoping just a few will get a response.  They don't have anything until you answer them.  If you think there may be a problem with Amazon or anything else don't answer the email or message, log in to your account and check it.

102 this mostly sunny morning.

44° was the high yesterday, there was a slight dusting of snow late evening but it is already melting away. I have been driving myself crazy looking at different weather sites! there is always a big difference between the highest and lowest. I kind of judge by how the weather was the day before which one I will believe. Today I'm goimg with the one on my phone which says 38°/22° with a chance of snow flurries. Whatever, it will be what it will be...

Glad the storm has passed your area Wally and also glad it skirted me!! Hope that is it for bad storms this Winter!

That is exactly what I did and there is no problem with my account. Will go and delete the Spam.

You should also 'mark' them as spam so that repeat emails from those IDs, or near about those IDs are automatically sent to the spam folder. Every browser handles this a little differently.

104 this morning.  I don't have to check the forecast today for the weather, it is going to be windy all day.  It was windy all day yesterday and last night and it is windy right now.  There was one thing I saw in the forecast though, an 80% chance of rain tonight after midnight.  I didn't see that before and it could happen but I doubt it would be much.
They are still getting snow in the mountains and it is going to be here through tomorrow.  The Mammoth Mountain Ski area is sitting at over 23 feet of snow at the summit and expecting another two feet today.  They could be skiing there into July!

106 this partly cloudy morning.

41° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 37°/22° or 14° I'll take the 22°!! May be some snow flurries this morning. It is 35° right now so maybe no flurries. Did have a bit of wind earlier, hope that is all!

My oldest GD will love all that snow! She is a ski instructor and it just lengthens her teaching time. She is planning to go to Argentina for the ski season there. She is a UCDavis grad in Economics but loves her skiing. I say go for it while you are young! Lots of time for her to settle down into a job later...

While you are dealing with snowstorms, we had the hottest Feb since 1901 when weather started being recorded in this country. And the warnings are that this year the summer is going to be just terrible and unbearable.

Kind of hated to like that skb! Extreme cold is bad but so is extreme heat!!

You should also 'mark' them as spam so that repeat emails from those IDs, or near about those IDs are automatically sent to the spam folder. Every browser handles this a little differently.

Problem is these weren't emails, they were Messages. I don't know how to block/mark as Spam Messages, I know how to block emails and phone numbers but can't find how to block certain Messages.

Since you use an iPhone and assuming that these were SMSes, you can open the message click on the icon figure shown on top (I'm betting it will be blank as the number would be unknown). On the next screen click on "Info" on the right corner, and then "Block this Caller" at the bottom.

Thanks skb, I've already deleted them, but will try this next time one comes in.

40° was the high yesterday. Again so many forecasts for today, I'm picking 36°/17° but another has 22° for overnight that I like better!  This just emphasizes that weather forecasting is not an art!

You can block a caller but the problem is that with these criminals is that they can generate as many numbers as they want and area codes also so they use another number to do the same thing.  This needs to be addressed by the phone companies or the government but I don't expect to see that happen any time soon.

107 this morning.  The weather prediction showed rain after midnight last night and they were right, kind of.  It started to sprinkle a tiny bit around 5:00 AM and just got the pavement kind of wet and quit so I guess that qualifies.  Today just windy again and temp around 50°.  More rain and snow for some of Southern California though.  The Mammoth Mountain Ski area is sitting on over 23 feet of snow at the summit and in the San Gabriel Mountain range which is near Los Angeles and parallels the coast they are getting more snow than they are used to.  People that live up there are looking at 5-6 feet of snow and aren't used to dealing with it.  Today should be the last day of it for a few days at least. 
Yeah SKB, I don't know what is in store for us this Summer but it could be a hot one here also.

Yup. For the past few days I have been getting a SMS that my Bank Account is going to be blocked and I should click a link provided to avoid that. I have blocked the number, but sadly I didn't find a provision anywhere to report the number, as is the case with WhatsApp messages.
