I was worried too before my first eye surgery.  I had one eye at a time done, the other about a month later.  I also was nervous because I don't like anything done around my eyes, I could never wear contact lenses.  The thing is that you are numbed and don't feel a thing and there is no sensation around your eye at all.  It will not be any where as bad as you are thinking Barbara.  Not even close to the breast surgery you had.  It is not really surgery, it is a procedure.  You will be just fine and will be surprised at the improvement.

Thanks Wally, I appreciate your input about your experience. I really just want this to be over!!

I hear you about contacts! No way I could ever use them!! I've worn glasses for a long time and am just fine with them.

That is true Barbara. I don't think you should be over-thinking on this.

Quote from: walkerwally1 on February 13, 2022, 10:53:45 AMSKB, I am getting to like the Apple watch more as I wear it and learn how to use it.  My Fitbit gave me some of the information that this watch does but the Apple Watch doe so much more.  I don't have the cellular model that you can make calls from without your phone but mine is the GPS model and I can make and receive phone calls as long as I am near my phone or my home wi-fi.  There are a lot of apps that you can download to the watch from Apple and also third party apps.  The watch has 32GB of storage so you have a lot of room.

That's the one I am going in for. One of my associates has the Apple 7 which he doesn't use and will be lending it to me for a few days, until my friend from the US gets it for me from there. I believe it is now $ 349.00. If he doesn't I'll buy one locally.

Wow, gee thanks guys for no support for my fears.  Thing is I don't have any discernible visual impairment it was all so sudden. Now if I cover my right eye it is all blurry. I guess my right eye was compensating all along. None of that diminishes the fears I have of the surgery.

103 this morning.  It is supposed to get to 78° today and then a 20° drop tomorrow with wind.  They say a 20% chance of wind but I know it will just be windy.
One thing you need to know SKB is that you have to have an apple phone for the watch to work.  Yu may already know this but I wanted to make sure. You install the watch app on your phone and set it up from there.
I guess I over did it on the exercises for the sciatica.  I wanted to do as much as I could and ended up straining my muscles and I am dealing with quite a bit of pain now from that.  It is probably going to take a couple of more days to recover but oh well.  I have another PT session today and don't really know what I can do so we will see.

148 this partly cloudy morning.

42° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 46°/24° with a small chance of showers.

Hope you get some relief from your pain at PT Wally. I know from personal experience that one can push the exercises too far in hopes it will speed recovery.

Yes I do know that. In fact, I borrowed an Apple Watch SE from a friend until mine arrives, and was struggling to set it up yesterday night because I couldn't get past the Activation Lock because the watch was paired with his phone. Will sort that out today.

95 this morning.  A bit late today, this sciatica is giving me a rough time today.  I had a PT session yesterday and the tech was happy with the improvement I got from exercises even though I over did it.  I don't know why it is giving me such a bad time today but hope it gets better.
Yeah SKB, you have to reset the watch to pair it to another phone.

Open the Settings app on your watch, then tap General > Reset. Tap Erase All Content and Settings, then tap again to confirm. Wait for the watch to unpair. After the Apple Watch unpairs completely, you can pair again.  Jul 8, 2021

That should do it.  reset is at the bottom of general.

149 this mostly cloudy morning. Stress related I'm guessing.

Yesterday's high was 49°, today's forecast is 39°/29°. A few snow flurries during the day.

Still no call from the surgery center. Just want to get this done...

It is not possible to reach the Home screen without first unpairing it from the older device. This can be done in 2 ways, either with the iPhone, in which case the phone and watch need to be close to each other, or from iCloud where he needs to login to his account and unpair. I've not been able to get him to do that. Maybe today.

99 this morning.  We got just a dribble of rain yesterday, just enough to get the pavement wet.  It was quite windy all day.  We should be in the high 60s, low 70s for the rest of the month.
Hmmmm SKB, then I guess he has to do it while paired to his phone ?  I am still learning too.

136 this snowy morning. Was not expecting snow today. Only about an inch of new snow. Was going to go out to get more cat food, but think I will wait one more day.

Yesterday's high was 42°, today's forecast is 38°/26°.

Knee is bothering me again, need to be careful how much I walk.
