106 this partly cloudy morning.

49° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 50°/29° with a chance of snow flurries this evening. Hoping again not to see your wind here Wally!!

Thanks for the suggestion Wally. I do have AAA and they will come out and charge my battery, it is just I am worried there may be some damage to the wiring or something else from sitting so long. If my neighbor doesn't come today, I will call AAA tomorrow to check the charge and at least get the car out of the garage... Maybe the driver will look inside at the wiring and check things out briefly... I am ashamed to admit I am a bit afraid of trying to start it myself...

Yeah I have AAA also it's just that it can take a couple of hours for someone to show up a lot of the time.  You won't hurt anything at all by trying to start your car.  It either will start or it wont.  There is nothing wrong with the wiring, sitting for a couple of months isn't going to hurt it unless critters got in and chewed it.  Then if that happened it may not start and then you would have to have it fixed.  I wouldn't hesitate to try and start the car and if it starts like it should you know where you are.  If it doesn't start then you can call AAA and the driver will start your car and check the wiring at the same time.  Cars don't fall apart because they sat for a couple of months.

Thanks for the reassurances Wally, I am such a baby when it comes to these sort of things. I have visions of my car blowing me and my garage up!! Stupid, I know but that is where my mind goes...

I'll try to force myself to try it...

102 this morning.  It looks like all of the rain is out of here now and there is none predicted for the rest of the month.  Typically this is the end of our rainy season but then this year hasn't been typical so who knows!  Happy for what we got though even if it caused problems in some areas we really did need the water.

109 this cloudy morning.

Yesterday's high was 52°, today's forecast is 40°/28° with occasional snow flurries. Road is back to mud may wait a day or 2 to try and deal with car...

Yeah, Winter is trying to hold on here a bit longer, not really unusual.

A couple of nights ago there were several emergency vehicles and the paramedics at the house across from my neighbor. Don't know what happened there, but said a prayer for anyone hurt and thanked God it was not me this time. Next day they started putting a new roof on the house. I will ask my neighbor if he knows what happened, as he is right across from them when I get a chance to talk to him.

102 this morning.  We got to 64° yesterday with sunny skies and light wind.  Today should be just a couple of degrees cooler but no wind again, yeah!  Another storm system is heading to Northern and Southern California from Alaska so it will bring rain and snow to most of the state but we are not expecting anything here.
Hope your neighbor's neighbor is OK but it sounds like there was definitely something wrong.  I have BTDT and made my neighbors wonder what the ambulance and paramedics were here for.

110 this cloudy morning.

44° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 38°/27° with possible snow flurries today, tonight and tomorrow. :(

I haven't talked to my neighbor about what happened across from him yet. He doesn't answer his phone (it is his work phone too) over the weekend so may not be until next week before I can find out anything. The new roof looks like it is almost done. I wonder if it collapsed and hurt someone...scary stuff.

Yeah, lately I have BTDT with the paramedics too and it is no fun!

I have been reading about the devastation brought on by tornadoes in USA. I know these are far away from you but hope none of your friends or family are affected.

Wally has forgotten to post yesterday ?

The tornadoes were in Mississippi. I think Shanny used to live there. I hope her husband and house are safe.

Appears so, I think he gets busy and forgets or thinks he hit "post" and didn't... He did post in other threads so he is OK, that is what is important.

Don't remember for sure where Shanny lived, but if it was Mississippi, hope everyone is OK there.

Well heck!  I wrote a post so I don't know what I did but I must not have hit the post button. ~tnk~
I wasn't in any big hurry or anything just being dumb.
As far as the tornados :
Over the weekend, at least 27 tornadoes were reported across five states
-- Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.
Officials said at least 25 people died in Mississippi, where one long-track twister left a trail of destruction for about 59 miles.
Mississippi got hit the hardest and it pretty much wiped out one town.
I live in earthquake country and I know some people freak out about earthquakes but I much prefer them to tornados and hurricanes.
I don't remember where Shanny lived either but it was somewhere in the South.

109 this mostly cloudy morning.

45° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 45°/22°. No snow or rain. I really have to try the car today and call AAA if it won't start. I am psyching myself up to do this... (Also waiting for it to warm up...it is all of 21° right now.)

The tornadoes are definitely terrible and sad due to the lives lost. I am with you Wally, I'd rather live in earthquake country rather than tornado country. Actually Montana is #4 on the list of states with the most earthquakes. Fortunately only have been a couple in my area as long as I have lived here.
