103 this mostly cloudy morning. Opened up the house and let some fresh air inside.

61° was the high yesterday, Yay! felt so nice. Today's forecast is 57°/36° with some rain showers in the morning.

Didn't sleep well. Just was dropping off to sleep and heard yelling and odd noises outside. Got up to look and it was drizzling lightly but as I looked across the road, the neighbor there had a huge burn pile going. It was 10:30PM I'm not even sure that is a legal time to burn. At least it was drizzling so hopefully the fire wouldn't spread.

Just what I need to start worrying about already, fire! NOT!!

109 this morning.  We got to 76° yesterday and it is supposed to get to 77° today.  It got windy in the afternoon but it is calm this morning.
We have pretty strict regulations on burning around here and it is only by permit and within the restrictions in the area.  Some are for safety and others for pollution.  The county dump is free so there really isn't a need.

Burning is by permit here also. That is what makes me think some thing hinky was going on. Who burns at 10:30PM on Good Friday if not avoiding getting the permit and following the rules?? As wet has this Winter/Spring has been I'm afraid we are going to be in for a bad fire season as it is, why risk it now?? Argh!

135 this morning. Yesterday night a friend sent me some Easter eggs filled in with some chocolate goodies. I couldn't resist and had two.

112 this partly cloudy morning.

Yesterday's high was 59°, today's forecast is 65°/41° and clear. I kind of doubt the overnight of 41° but it would be nice.

Today will be a quiet day, plan to just take it easy. Kitties will get an extra can of the gravy wet food they like. I'm have Cajun seasoned salmon for dinner with sautéed baby bok choy. I bought a blood orange at the grocery store so 1/2 of that will be my treat.

Tomorrow will be the first time I have taken the garbage up the road in months! Sad, but I'm doing it myself, then a small PO and grocery store run. Nice to be getting out on my own.

103 this morning.  We got to 76° yesterday and it is supposed to get to 79° today.  I am really enjoying the warmer weather and yesterday and today no wind.
Yeah Barbara I agree burning at 10:30 at night is kind of suspicious, maybe they just wanted to have a bonfire at night to keep warm or roast some marshmallows?

From the sounds I was hearing the only thing that was getting toasted was the ones burning. Yelling and laughing loudly enough to be heard across the road behind some trees...

I forgot to test, first thing in the morning, and realized that I hadn't tested, after having a home made SF cookie and a few sips of SF tea. Yet, I tested and the number came out as 134. I have assumed my fasting number at 6 points below and take it as 128.

97 this sunny morning.

68° was the high yesterday and today's forecast is an amazing 74°/43°! With blue skies! Lovely!

Discovered that I have a leak in the plumbing in the bedroom bathroom sink. Think it has been slowly leaking since the thaw after the freeze in Dec. Yikes! Called plumber, hope he can come out soon... If it isn't one thing it is 3 others!! Sheesh!

118 this morning. A little bit of baked potato goes a long way!  We got to a high of a warm 84° yesterday and it is heading to 89° today.  This is where I am the happiest and it looks like we will be in the 80s to the mid 70s for the next couple of weeks.

Yeah, next is the electrical in 2 bathrooms, the plugs don't work but the over head lights do!

Plumber came at 10:30, I decided to just cap off the leaking line. That bathroom has 2 sinks as it is so one is enough anyway. Feels good that it is fixed!!

I did have to race off to ACE to get a new water filter for the water supply, if I didn't do it now it would have cost me $79 later where now it only added $30 to the bill. Now I'm exhausted!

Yup. True for everyone I guess. This can go down well in our 'Daily Quotes'.

128 again today. I guess it will take some time coming down.

115 this morning.  We got to the predicted 89° for a high yesterday and it is expected to get to 87° today.  This is pretty normal for April here and I like it.  This is shorts and T-shirt weather so I am going to enjoy it until it gets HOT!
Glad you were able to get the leak taken care of Barbara.  My BIL is a plumbing contractor so leaks around here are not a problem.  He is also talented in all home repairs, electrical, carpentry, etc. so we don't need to call for someone to take care of most things and that is really a good thing.

108 this partly cloudy morning.

79° was the surprising high yesterday, but it was just a tease as today's forecast is 60°/31° with showers in the morning and rain later...sigh. And the road was so nice and dry yesterday, just hope there isn't much rain.

The plumber told me that some government regulation removed some metal from the plumbing parts, I think he said brass but could be wrong on that, is causing valves etc. to fail much sooner than they used to. He had actually replaced the one that was leaking a few years ago. I asked if I just replaced the valve would it likely fail sooner rather than later and he said yes. That was part of the reason I just had it capped and not replaced.

Wally, your BIL would probably know better what the metal is... you are so lucky to have him to. help with repairs. I am at the mercy of the best person I can find (usually through my neighbor's recommendations).
