106 this partly cloudy morning.

59° was. the high yesterday, today's forecast is 65°/36° with a chance if some showers overnight and tomorrow...sigh was hoping it would stay dry a few more days.

4 quails showed up yesterday, one kitty thought it was a good idea to try to catch one, no luck. The kitties are great mousers, but birds are a step beyond their skills at this point, thank goodness.

103 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 80° as predicted and it is supposed to get to 83° today.  I am enjoying being able to go outside in shorts and a T-shirt.  Soon enough it will be getting hot so enjoying it right now for a while.
Yeah the rain has produced quite a "super bloom" and it happens often after a good rain spell in the Winter but wild flowers are finicky and a lot of rain doesn't guarantee a big bloom.  It has to be at the right time and in the past it has seemed like the rain should have created a big bloom and the flowers said NOPE and it wasn't anything.  It is quite spectacular when it does happen.  Here at home we are going to have a big bloom of out Iris flowers.  They are all budded out and ready to pop.  They are really pretty when they bloom but only last for a few days.

Yeah, our dog would love to catch a bird and tries once in a while but it isn't going to happen.

LOL Wally! Occasionally one of the kitties will stalk a pheasant. Pheasant vs kitty, pheasant will win with those talons!! Pheasants just ignore the kitties mostly.

My dogs do occasionally hunt pigeons and have been successful on a number of occasions. My internet is down since yesterday. I'm using my cell phone hotspot to connect. didn't check.

98 this cloudy morning.

69° was the high yesterday though it got colder and very windy in the evening. Today's forecast is 51°/33° with good chance of rain showers turning snow showers late evening.

It figures, I just made beds in a couple boxes that the kitties like to sleep in. Now I have to figure out how to protect them from the weather. Only other. chore today is. taking the garbage up to the road. Wonder what adventure that will be??

109 this morning.  We got to 82° yesterday and it is going to be 80° today but cooling down to 70° tomorrow.  Not unhappy about that at all but it also means lots of wind so not a fan of that.
Yeah, my dog isn't really a hunter.  She is more about chasing anything daring to come into the yard away and announces her intention by barking as soon as she starts after anything, bird, cat, leaves or anything so she gives them all a fair start.
Hope your internet is back soon SKB, it is frustrating when it happens.

Not yet. It appears that there's some road work going on in the neighborhood and probably the cable has snapped. But my phone does the job and it's OK. The net should be back soon, or so we are told.

Oh dear! I hope they can get it fixed soon. I wouldn't even know how to use just my phone for internet. Clueless about tech stuff...

116 this morning.  We got to 80° yesterday but it was quite windy and it is only supposed to get to 69° today and it is still going to be windy although not quite as bad.
I could use my phone for the internet but hesitate to do so because my phone plan has a limited data cap.  My choice because i rarely use data on my phone but if I needed to it would be OK I just would pay a fee for the amount I used and that is not really that bad.  It would be inconvenient though.
I copied a picture of the Poppys blooming in the desert:
You cannot view this attachment.

This is at the California Poppy Reserve, part of the State Park System and was in the sector that I worked at.  When the Poppys bloomed like this we all  were down there helping dealing with the huge crowds that would come from all over the world.  It didn't happen every year but this year is one of the good ones.

116 this cloudy morning.

Yesterday's high was only 42° a big change from the day before. Today's forecast is 43°/27° with occasional rain and possible snow showers.

Thanks for the photo Wally. The poppies are truly gorgeous!

You can go into Settings and start the Hotspot option. That way your cellular network can be accessed by any device that is linked to your phone with WiFi. The internet was restored by mid-day yesterday and now we're good.

I forgot to test my fasting number today and remembered after I had 2 teas (SF) and a couple of our own home made cookies. I checked just to have an idea and found myself at 139, so I guess I would have been close to 120 (+/- 3).

101 this cloudy morning.

48° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 49°/31° with a tiny chance of showers in the afternoon. Looks to be fairly decent weather for the next couple of days.

Tomorrow is Gastro. appointment, pretty sure he is going to push my colonoscopy but I just don't have anyone to ask left to drive me. I have used up all my favors for a long time. Not looking forward to having to tell him  that... maybe the mail in thingy will be an option?

103 this morning. Our high yesterday was 70° and really windy.  It is supposed to be 70° again today but not quite as windy then warming up tomorrow and back into the 80s.
I had a dentist appointment yesterday, cleaning and exam, and all went well.  No problems so not a bad visit.
Barbara, my gastro moved a couple of years ago,2019, so I saw the local gastro that is with the hospital here and he said then that since my last colonoscopy was only a year ago, then, that I should come back to see him in a year as my last one had polyps.  I didn't because Covid happened but my PCP recently thought that the Cologuard home test would be a good idea so I did it and it came back positive.  Not really a surprise as every colonoscopy I have had I have had polyps but it has been 5 years since my last one, Covid kind of got in the way of a 3 year schedule, so I have an appointment with a local gastro in May.  The one I was seeing for several years moved so this will be a new one.  The home test has to be ordered by your doctor but it can indicate no need for a colonoscopy.  It is not 100% proof either way but is better than nothing I am sure.
