109 this morning 108 yesterday.  Glad that we are back to normal again!  Our high yesterday was 86° and it is supposed to be 87° today.  It should be a pretty nice Memorial Day weekend.  Not going anywhere but my BIL is at his place in Arizona for the weekend so me and the dog are home alone. ~dog~

In all the hustle and stress here I completely forgot this Weekend is Memorial Day.  Just another weekend around here, just me and the cats!

94 this cloudy, dreary morning.

68° was the high yesterday, with just small periods of showers and a little thunder. Today's forecast looks similar 66°/50° with possible showers and thunderstorms. Hoping June will bring some better weather.

Today was weigh day. 124.6 lbs so seem to be settling around this weight. Fine with that.

106 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 88° and it is supposed to be a bit higher today at 92° but it looks like we will be pretty much the same for the first week in June at least.  Enjoying it for now, hot is not far away.
My weight loss plan seems to be working as planned.  So far I have lost 10 pounds and I think it has been about 2 months so not bad as I see it.  I'll feel better after another 10 pounds.

If I watch what I eat, my weight loss is quite rapid. About a kilo (2.2 lbs) a week. That's true only in the initial stages. Once the body weight is stabilized then the loss is very difficult to achieve. All this is governed by the glycogen stores in the liver.

106 this drizzly gray morning.

69° was the high yesterday, it was a nice day until early evening when the rain started again.  Today looks to be about the same 69°/49° chance of thunder-storms & showers. Sheesh, Mon and Tue may be dry but then back to this miserable damp weather for the next 7 days. Yuk! Just want things to dry out and warm up...

82 this morning.  We got to 91° yesterday and it is heading to 92° today so pretty much the same day to day for the weekend and the next few days in June.  No problem drying out here!
Yeah, I don't try to lose fast, I just seem to bounce back and forth then, I know from the past if I cut carbs it helps my bg a lot and slowly I will lose and it tends to stay off.  It is also true that the initial loss is more rapid than it is after the first few pounds but as long as I keep it up I am not worried about the time it takes.

Yeah, slow and steady wins the weight loss race for sure! Oddly enough, for the first time in my life, I have been trying to gain weight! It went against everything I learned re low carb to do it, but I did add more carbs, now I am at a point where I am satisfied with my weight and hope I can keep it here. Back to being more vigilant!

Usually, the reverse is also true. For example, if I eat badly and add a lot of carbs in my regime I will see instant weight gain. But, I was once consulted by a young female dentist who could not put on any weight whatever she tried. She was quite skinny and obviously suffered from some metabolic disorder that was beyond me. The body is a very very complex organism and definitely one size doesn't fit everybody.

108 this partly cloudy morning.

Yesterday's high was 68°, today's forecast is  78°/48° with just a few clouds. Yay, maybe the dry weather will stick around.

Garbage to the top of the road is the most I plan for today. I think I just want to sit and watch things dry out!!

85 this morning.  We had a high of 88° yesterday and it is heading to 92° today.  No wind and sunny so a nice day.
Yeah SKB, what works for someone else may very well not work for you so I guess we all have to find out what works the best for ourselves.  I think that cutting carbs probably would work for most but many people find that too hard to do.

93 this sunny morning. Nice to be able to say sunny!

Yesterday's high was 75° today's forecast is 80°/50° of course with a tiny chance of showers/thunderstorm... but it looks to be nice in the long term forecast still chance showers but really small.

A couple more kitties showed themselves yesterday. They are fluffy light orange ones. Mama has to be the one light orange one I call Fluffy Fluffer...cutest things...

105 this morning.  We got to 92° yesterday and it is going to be the same today.
I had a really bad night last night and had a persistent cough and was snotty so I got verry little sleep.  I am going to go back to bed and try to get some rest.
