107 this once again, cloudy, gloomy, drizzly morning. Darn, I need to cover the kitty beds again. Forecast for good weather was wrong again...

76° was the high yesterday, it was a very nice day. Today it is back to possible rain and thunderstorms with temps 71°/52°. Hopefully June will bring consistently nicer weather!

104 this morning.  We had a high of 84° yesterday and that should be the lowest for the next few days.  Today we are looking at 88° for the high.
I started feeling much better yesterday after I slept for a while and then got up.  I slept very well last night and today I am back to normal, at least for me!
When I was having the problem, and I don't really know what caused it. I checked my O² percent and it was 80!  That is scary and even deep breathing did not raise it more than 1-2%.  Later in the afternoon it was back to 93-95% and this morning it was 97% so I am happy about that.
Today I have an appointment for an Ultrasound of my thyroid that the ENT wants to keep an eye on the nodules found several months ago.  She has done two biopsies about 6 months apart and they both came out negative for cancer but she wants to keep going after it.  I am not sure how much it needs to be followed further but for now I guess I will go along.

Glad you are feeling better Wally. Hmmm an O2 meter, maybe I should look into one. Where did you get yours? Amazon? What brand do you have? I see a bunch of them, will check them out.

The Apple watch also has that feature so maybe he was using the watch. But the O2 meters available in the market are not very expensive. They will give you blood oxygen as well as heart rate.

My head about exploded looking at them on Amazon so I went to the local pharmacy and talked to the pharmacist. I ended up with one that was $25, a bit more than the ones on Amazon, but I can take it back if there is a problem. From reading some of the reviews on Amazon, not all of them are returnable.

It works great and the heart rate is the exact same as on my FitBit. A good sign to me.

104 this cloudy morning.

69° was the high yesterday, with  just a sprinkle in the morning. Today's forecast is 70°/50° again with the possible showers...

84 this morning.  We got to 90° yesterday and it is supposed to be 91° today so pretty much day to day right now.
Yeah the one I bought on Amazon was $35 thinking that costing more must be better!  I had one that was probably 3-4 years old and when I had left the hospital in August and was on oxygen I doubted the readings I was getting so I bought the one on Amazon and they both read the same.  The Apple watch does have an o2 sensor and I tried it with the other ones and they all read the same so I doubt that you have a problem getting a bad one.  The Apple watch is handy as it is on your arm but it is kind of a pain to use, you have to have your arm flat on something like your desk and not move and hold still for about 10 seconds.  The other monitors just clip on your finger and don't care what position you are in or that you move.

Probably quite true Wally, but I always look at the negative reviews. And sometimes even if they are few, a trend appears.

Anyway, the one I bought locally is a Leader brand, one I know and have had good results with other products of theirs. It did cost $25 a bit more than a lot of them on Amazon but I am OK with that. Basically six of one, half a dozen of another. As long as it works that is all I care about.

I am glad you mentioned the meter though, another tool to have handy can't hurt.

I think you have to stay put with these meters as well. If you move it will change your reading.

I just did a quick test. I put my meter on and walked around and moved my arms some. The O2 was the same either sitting or moving, the heart rate went up a small amount because of the movement. It matched the heart rate on my FitBit while moving.  So I'm guessing that the O2 measurement can take some movement. But it is just as easy to sit still for the few seconds it takes to get a reading.

109 this cloudy morning.

Yesterday's high was 70° there was a short downpour just after 10PM but the day was nice and sunny. Today's forecast is 68°/53° again with the possible rain showers in the afternoon. The 10 day forecast has more damp days than nice ones sadly. I was hoping tomorrow would be clear as it is my birthday and the full moon! I just love the light from the full moon!

I was going to make a quick grocery run today, but I may just stay home instead. I have a ribeye for dinner tomorrow and a small single serve slice of lemon cake so I am all set. Maybe will go out tomorrow...

80 this morning.  We got to 91° yesterday and they say it should be 93° today.  It will be warmer on the weekend just under the 100° mark.
Well Barbara I hope you have a really happy birthday tomorrow and enjoy the ribeye and the "birthday cake"!
