All I can say to that is my Mom had breast cancer and I got it at close to the same age she did. She had a weak heart (I don't!) and the chemo was just too much for her and she succumbed to it. My Dad had prostate cancer but also was a raging alcoholic with I suspect dementia (they called it Alcoholic Brain back then, 1979). Others in his family have had Alzheimer's so I do worry a bit about that... a tiny bit...

107 this cloudy/drizzly morning. Sigh, once again forecast says clear and yet I wake up to drizzle.

68° was the high yesterday. The day was nice but the rain came overnight... Today's forecast is 72°/52° with possible rain showers/thunderstorms. At least they include it in the forecast. Darn, I was hoping for a clear night so I could see the full moon...

Was rudely awakened by a cat fight outside. Sheesh they were noisy! Put out some kibble in their dishes and magically the fighting subsided... I just hate the fights with the little babies around. I think it is the mama kitties trying to drive away the stray males...  Not quite the calm, relaxed way I wanted to start my birthday day.

Hoping the rest of the day is quiet.

105 this morning.  We got to 93° yesterday and warmer at 97° today.  It's not bad for June and we haven't broken 100° yet.

Cats make a lot of noise and fight each other when they mate. Literally, the male subdues the female before the act. It's never peaceful. It could have been that.

It may be that but I already have 3 litters of new kittens this Spring, so I think that the females have already finished with their heat cycles for now. I think more likely a stray male showed up.

109 this slightly cloudy morning. It figures today would be a sunny one, hope I can see the moon tonight.

70° was the high yesterday, was cloudy all day and night... Today's forecast is 77°/54° with some clouds.

I think I found the stray that was doing all the fighting yesterday. Walked out the kitchen slider and it started to run away. I followed it up the driveway and it really bolted off. No more fighting so far, hope he/it moves on for good.

Despite the dreary weather and all the cat fights, I did have a nice Birthday and a yummy dinner!

123 this morning.  Not sure where that came from but I hope to get it down for the rest of the day. We got to 97° yesterday and it is supposed to be 98° today then cooling down a bit and we should be in the 80s for most of next week.
Glad you had a good BD yesterday Barbara.  Mine is just a few days away.

107 this morning.  We got to 98° yesterday and it is supposed to be 96° today.  Tomorrow it is going to drop about 10° so cooler and will probably be around there for the rest of the week.

110 this partly cloudy morning.

Yesterday's high was 78° one tiny little sprinkle was all the rain. Today's forecast is 75°/50° again with the possible thunder showers...

Late to post, neighbor across the road came over and is doing some mowing for me. We chatted a long time, his step son is the "garbage can" kid. Turns out it was a bunch of "friends" of his. No hard feelings from them. Thank goodness.

119 this sunny morning. Wonder how long the sun will last...

69° was the high yesterday with again just a few drops of rain. Today's forecast is 83°/54°, 2 sites say sunny, one says mostly cloudy, but dry seems to be the consensus. Sure hope so!

The kitties were scared of the mowing noises, but after all was quiet, they were frolicking in the cut down "jungle" (grass was at least 18" high). So glad for this neighbor, I had called my usual landscaper 2 times with no response. One guy is less stressful for the kitties and we have a great barter situation going on!!

Have a safe trip skb! I've been reading some about the horrible train crash there in India. Hope you have alternate transportation.

103 this morning.  We got to 94° yesterday and today it is going to be cooler with a high of 83° predicted.  Not really cool but relatively cooler.  Actually really right where I like it.
Yeah, the train crash was really terrible.  It was really sad to hear about it.  Hope you have a safe trip SKB.
