95 yesterday.  I have been able to see some 2 digit fasting fbg since I cut back on carbs to lose some weight and it is kind of nice.
Our high yesterday was 88° and it was quite windy all day.  It is going to be the same today but the wind will be somewhat less.
Yesterday was a real trial.. I wanted to get my car smog tested and because the "smog" light was on in the past it was because I only drive in town and if I got on the highway and drove for a while it would clear it so I did that for about 30 min and it never cleared, well poo.  I went to the mechanic where I get my smog tests done and I have to leave my car with him so he can determine what has to be done and fix it so I have to do that today.  I also found out that my registration expires today and I thought I had until the end of the month so I went to the DMV to pay for the renewal so I could avoid penalties.  That took over an hour which is actually good for the DMV.  So now I have to get the smog check done to make the renewed registration good.  All my fault for putting things off until the last min.  :-[

Don't want any of your wind here Wally! LOL It finally looks like a nice day here today...

Don't miss the DMV dance at all. See my note in exercise thread.

JFYI here it is known as the PUC or "Pollution Under Control" and every vehicle must have a valid PUC certificate. The tests are carried out at garages or privately owned licensed vendors who carry the equipment in the back of a van.

No smog requirements here in MT. Lots of space (area is 147,040 square miles) and population estimate of only 1,122,867 as of July 2022. Another reason to love this state, hardly any people and clean air!

Of course on the other hand, the weather can be odd at times, tonight's overnight forecast says possible wet snow!! Not the first time it will have snowed in June since I've been here.

125 this. sunny morning. Well, yesterday was 93 fbg and at bedtime too then bam! today. 125...oh well, I guess dawn phenomenon got me!

Yesterday's high was 66°, don't know if the wet snow materialized, (no sign of new snow at higher elevations around me) just as going to bed (around 11PM) there were some raindrops. Today's forecast is 66°/39° sunny, but lingering chance of some rain or thunderstorm. Nights have really been cool for this time of year, snow wouldn't really have surprised me.

90 this morning.  We had a high of 89° yesterday and it was pretty windy all day.  Today it is supposed to get to 91° and the wind is gone, woo-hoo!
I was able to finally get my car repaired and smogged yesterday and registered for the year, whew!  They had to replace the O² sensors (2) and it passed just fine.  In California the car has to pass the smog test every two years to have the registration renewed which is required every year.  Yeah Barbara there are problems living in a much more populated place although here it is a lot less populated than much of the state.
Off in a while to get my toe nails clipped by the Podiatrist.  One of the benefits of being diabetic is that Medicare pays for it.

Yeah, I need to get a referral to a podiatrist for just that Wally. I had my first clip the toe instead of the nail last week, ouch! I can remember late DH clipping his toenails and then leaving little blood tracks around the house until I noticed and put band aids on the cuts. He had no feeling at all in his feet. Finally got him going to the podiatrist for trims and it was better.

I do have a bit of neuropathy in my feet but still have plenty of feeling. Hopefully new pcp will refer me. Current one doesn't even think I have diabetes at all any more...

And we have seen very few of those even as we have gone through mid June. All thanks to the cyclone that swept away some of the clouds headed here. My prediction is that the monsoon will be late in coming and late in going as well. We can expect some rain until early or mid November.

109 this sunny morning.

69° was the high yesterday, a bit cool but dry!! Today's forecast is 76°/48° and sunny! I'll take it!

I guess I am now officially the neighborhood "crazy old cat lady"! Not sure what I am going to do about all the kittens... once they are weaned, I may have to get Animal Control to take as many as possible. There is a retired vet I have heard about that will spay for very little $$ as long as the person keeps the cats. I need to look into that. I'll keep a bunch outside, but can't handle the reproduction part of it all.

96 this morning.  We had a high of 90° yesterday and it is supposed to be 88° today with the wind picking up this afternoon.  I am going to enjoy the 80s to mid 90s for the next few days as we are going to see over 100° starting at the end of June and in July.
Yeah giving a home to a few cats is one thing but if they keep multiplying you will end up with way too many to deal with.  It has to end at some point.

I am fortunate that the medical clinic I use is part of the hospital and there are doctors here that cover most specialties.  I really like the Podiatrist and the toe nail trimming is quick and does the job that I can't do anymore.

122 this mostly sunny morning.

70° was the high yesterday and dry. Today's forecast is 75°/51°. and today the possible rain/thunderstorm is back in forecast.

Yesterday I picked up a wrist Blood Pressure Monitor. I have a machine but it is a pain to use, the monitor is much easier. Former pcp wanted me to check BP (I have White Coat high bp) but then never asked to see records...(will be so glad to be done with him!). Took first reading even before bg (@ 5:54AM today) 118/71 hr 79. That looks pretty good to me! Will take new record to new patient appt next month. Old pcp doubled my bp med after my fall...I really don't know why, but I'm thinking it is too much.

108 this morning.  We had a high of 86° yesterday and as predicted the wind picked up a lot in the afternoon.  It is supposed to warm up a bit now and the wind is gone.
I tried a wrist monitor for BP once and found it not very accurate but maybe they have improved.  I use an arm cuff monitor by Omron and find it very much in sync with the readings when I go to the doctors.  I guess I am kind of picky because I have always had a problem with my blood pressure and I am taking 3 prescriptions to control it.  I check my BP almost every day and the monitor downloads to my phone so I can show it to my Cardiologist.  I think a record covering several days gives him a much better picture than just the one snapshot taken in the office.

I do have an arm bp monitor also an Omron it just feels awkward to me. The wrist one I got is also an Omron. Tomorrow morning when I check, I'll use both (one after the other) and then see how they compare.

We do also have an arm BP monitor but I hardly ever use it. I have never given much importance to this parameter. Sometimes I can be at 140/90 but most times I am in the 120/80 range. And the beta blockers bring my pulse to very low levels so I am going to stay away from them.

The monsoons have finally arrived here. It rained quite well last night and it is overcast and drizzling as we speak.

I got the arm bp monitor because pcp didn't believe I was normal other times than when I was in his office and he wanted to see I was telling him the truth! Sheesh! Then he never asked to see results so I finally stopped using it. Same will probably happen with the wrist one, but I want to start with the new pcp giving her all the info I can. Then it will just be a random test now and then.
