Thanks Wally. I might look into at least having the wall AC repaired or replaced.

Yeah, I can't wait to get away from my current pcp who considers my diabetes "cured" he just can't seem to understand it is my good control that has brought my numbers down into the normal range. That among other things he has done that have not pleased me.

113 this cloudy and a bit drizzly morning. I think a bit of stress is associated with that number. Kind of nervous about dr appt tomorrow. I really want her to be a good fit for me!

85° was the high yesterday and sunny. Today's forecast is 89°/54° with possible thunderstorms. Some wet weather/storms passing through, but looks like most will pass me by, just the edges may cause some periods of wet. After today, back to the warm, dry weather.

Every night since the 4th there are still yahoos setting off fireworks, mostly the ones that just make the loud booming noise. Since it is light so late, they start just as I am going to bed. I will be so glad when they finally stop!

79 this morning.  Had stir fry last night and I do well with it.  It is mostly chicken breast, shrimp, zucchini and some onion.  It is quite good and I can eat until I am full.
We had a high of only 95° yesterday but it is going to warm up and be much hotter by the weekend.

108 this slightly cloudy morning.

79° was the high yesterday. Today's high looks like 85° and clear. A huge storm passed through in the early evening. Lost internet and it is still out, using phone to access right now. I hope it gets fixed soon!! I feel lost w/out internet.

Nervous but looking forward to meeting new dr this afternoon.

I have never used my phone before to get the net so will be quick posting and then hope for the best.

Just wanted to make sure everyone knew I was OK and just the net not a medical emergency.

109 this morning.  Our high yesterday was 99° and it is predicted to get to 105° today but we have been running a couple of degrees cooler than the prediction lately but that is not really a difference.
Well I am glad you could get connected with your phone.  I have never tried that before and honestly don't know if I could.  What I would like to do is use my phone as a hot spot and connect my tablet if that happened.  One of the reasons I changed to my current provider is that all of the equipment is new and I don't expect to have the problems I used to have.
Hope your appointment goes well Barbara.

Thanks Wally, I'm hoping I really like her.

I called the provider and the technicians are "working on it". I opted for a call back when resolved.

I've never used my phone before either, there is an option on the bar that shows internet for Barbara's Iphone so I just selected that and voila! I won't use it much though as I don't know the cost.

9:35 ETA: I'm baaaack! Internet back about 20 minutes ago. Phew! Funny how when TV goes out I have the net, and when net went out I had TV. One or the other thank goodness...both at same time is really bad!

That is the better way if you have a bigger gadget or a Laptop at hand, as everything is very clustered on a phone screen. Though, I have used it many times.

Here in India, all cell service plans have 'some' amount of free data bundled with it. The charges start if you use beyond that limit. I am sure you would have something like that in your plan as well. I have a Family Plan for 3 phones and in all I get 200 GB free with a roll-over, so if I don't use it, it gets carried forward to the coming months. Even if you have 20 GB free, you could use it for the entire month to use the Forum.

I'll have to look up my plan and see what I have data wise. Now that I think about it, I probably do have some...

101 this clear morning.

82° was the high yesterday, today's forecast is 89°/56° and clear. Heading for some high heat for this area over the weekend...in the 90's!!

I do really like the new pcp!! Yay! We went through many of my records in my file and there were lots of major errors and many questionable things. She said she had already deleted a bunch she knew were wrong, then started asking me about others, 1/2 of what she asked were totally wrong!! One entry said I had a hip replacement! I kind of think that is something I would remember if it were me! She said she would continue to research the entries. In the wee hours of this morning I woke up and started wondering if there was some sort of insurance fraud going on there. Was someone fraudulently billing for these procedures? I think I am going to go through the records I have here and see if I can find any weird billings to my insurance. I need to be more diligent reading their notices.

She did blood work and new A1c is 6%, out of the 5% club for the first time in a long time, but not totally surprised as I have been eating off plan some in the attempt to put back on some weight. It is an easy fix though once I get my weight up a bit more.  Also she listened to my heart and apparently I have a heart murmur! She said they don't necessarily mean something bad, but to me it is just one more thing to worry about in the back of my mind. sigh...

I see pcp again in a month for my Medicare Wellness check. Will be following up on these weird entries then. I am so glad I left the other pcp!!

102 this morning.  We had a high of 102° yesterday and it is probably going to be around the same today.  We are going to see it get a lot hotter in a couple of days and they are predicting 116° on the weekend.  Not going to spend a lot of time outside!
It sounds like you made a good move Barbara.  It is a good thing to go through all of your insurance billings to really know what is being charged.  Since I am on Medicare I get a notice on my account of every charge and what is paid and I also get a notice of all charges my supplement insurance pays so I have a good record of all charges.  One reason I keep close track is that I have been billed before by the hospital for something that Medicare has already paid.  It has only happened a couple of times and was apparently a case of a delay in the billing but it pays to keep track.
The errors in your medical history are suspicious and makes you wonder where they came from.
The heart murmur may not ever need to be addressed but it is good to keep an eye on.  When my doctor found mine he had an echocardiogram done and it showed my Aortic valve had the beginning of stenosis from calcium build up and referred mr to the cardiologist I have been seeing since.  When it got to the point of being dangerous I had the valve replacement and that was 8 years ago.  Now that the trans catheter replacement is normal it is really quite a much easier process and recovery was only a couple of days.  I wouldn't worry about it though as a murmur does not mean that it will ever have to be a problem.

Well, the dr. didn't seem concerned, so I guess I will just let that worry go until there is really something to worry about.

The errors are almost as if someone else's history was put in my files by some mistake/clerical error. I do get those copies from Medicare and my secondary too. I don't always scrutinize that carefully, just a quick look to see what they are for and that it is my procedure/visit. I don't know what to think about all the weird entries.

Is that even possible ? Wouldn't there be enough checks and balances to take care of such frauds. But, with technology things become easier not just for the consumer but also the scamster.

I don't know if it is possible or not, who knows these days with all the computer wiz kids out there. Interestingly enough I mentioned it on the other forum I frequent and several people have had the same thing happen. I guess more likely it is just the plain incompetence of the person entering the information.

There were even incorrect entries in the meds I am allergic to! That could result in real problems if I were to go into hospital unconscious alone, which I would as family is all in CA and they don't have my complete medical history in hand. Guess I need to address that.
