105 this morning.  We had a high of 107° yesterday and that will be what it is today and tomorrow.  It looks like next week will be a little bit cooler but still over 100°.
Today is an all day liquid diet to prepare for the colonoscopy tomorrow.  I start the nasty drink after 5:00PM to clean me out.  The procedure is scheduled for 7:45 tomorrow morning so I will not be posting until later in the day.

108 this partly cloudy morning.

Yesterday's high was a wonderful 80°! A little smoke but so much cooler. Today's forecast is 87°/51° mostly clear. Small chance of some showers but probably not right here. Definitely enjoying the cooler weather now as a warming trend is on the way for the weekend.

The kittens are honing their hunting skills. The tiniest one caught a small bird last night and the others gathered around hoping for left overs. This morning another one caught a small mouse again a circle of other kittens around it as it played with it but they lost interest when it became pretty obvious they weren't getting any left overs now either. I suppose it is cruel, but it is nature, and bonus is it keeps the mice out of the house!!

Well the upside of this is that the Gastro I am seeing said that this would likely be the last one I will have to do.  They tend to not do colonoscopies when you are over 80 although he decided that this one would be a good idea since I have had polyps before and the Cologuard came back positive.  Then again his nurse told me that they have had people over 90 before but it was at their request.  I really look at this as my last one.

Oh cool! I hadn't heard that. That means my next one (@ age 79) may well be my last one too!! But I too have had polyps each time so who knows what my gastro will do...

Late to post, got busy doing "stuff". 115 this mostly sunny morning.

79° was the high yesterday, even had about a dozen rain drops! LOL! Today's forecast is 88°/53° with some clouds and a small chance of some rain/thunder.

Hope all went well with appt Wally. When I lived in CA they used to give me photos of my colon showing the polyp(s). Kind of gross! Do they still do that? Not done here, which is OK w/me!

A surprising 118 this morning as I had nothing but a liquid diet yesterday and nothing with carbs so I guess I can thank my liver.
Back home after the colonoscopy and all went well.  There were polyps as expected and they were all removed and will be sent out for biopsy as is standard practice and I will have a follow up appointment in a month.  It was pretty easy today, the worse of it is the prep the day before.  The gastro I had before did give me pictures and a synopsis of the procedure and I gave these to the Gastro when I first saw him and I think they were good for that.  I don't know if they will here but I know that they do take pictures as the nurses were talking about it.

119 this sunny morning.

81° was the high yesterday. A bit smoky from local fires I guess not the Canadian ones. all in all, a pleasant day. Today's forecast is 94°/55° the aforementioned warming trend... Hoping my little pocket here will stay bearable. If it stays nice I have a closet I'd like to clean out and make some donation bags.

Night before last a mosquito got inside and bit my arm. Haven't been bitten in a long time and boy did I get a bad reaction! My arm swelled up so much I couldn't even wear my fitbit yesterday and it was bright red from elbow to wrist. Today it is still a little swollen and somewhat red. My fitbit still makes an indentation in my wrist. I am a mosquito magnet but it has never been much of a problem here. The only thing that helps is a witch hazel wipe draped over my arm. Maybe the very wet Spring and now the heat and they are hatching all over??? Don't like it!

96 this morning and that is after a normal dinner last night although I didn't eat a lot, just not really hungry but feeling OK just tired.  We had a high of 109° yesterday and it is supposed to be the same today.  It is supposed to cool down just a bit next week but still around 100-104°.
The procedure yesterday went quite well and I felt fine when I got home just tired, probably mostly from the anesthesia, so I went to bed early and slept really well.
We rarely see mosquitos around here although I see one once in a while on the bug traps I use.  I found some sticky sheets that you place on a window and they work really well.  I can't remember the last time I had a mosquito bite and I am pretty happy about that.  I never had a bad reaction to a bite though, just itchy, so i hope you are over it soon.

Depending on the season there are a lot of mosquitos here. Right now it is the monsoon and this season is the breeding season. From here on till Dec-Jan they will grow and that's the time that they are a nuisance. However, I think we have built in some kind of immunity and I don't think we witness any reactions as such. Maybe, your mosquito was a peculiar breed or a large enough variety to cause that much discomfort.

There are a lot of repellents availble to safeguard against the menace. Maybe a baby roll-on would help.

Thanks for the suggestion! I put it on my shopping list. Yeah the guy that bit me was larger than a normal mosquito.  It sure packed a punch! There used to be horses behind me and across the dirt road in front of me but they are gone this Summer. Maybe the mosquitoes lost a food source so they are after people now! Or maybe just the really wet Spring meant more eggs and are hatching a lot now.

Whoa, something weird just happened! When I typed "mosquito. It" without the space after the period it shut down the site! Opened another window and corrected it and original page came back besides the new one I opened. What the heck was that???

eta It was underlined with blue dots and I click on it that is when site went down.

Some more news from my part of the world, since we were talking about lake levels a couple of days ago.

QuoteMUMBAI: With two consecutive days of triple digit rain, the city has already received 97% of the season's average rainfall of 2,318mm, touching 2,247.5mm on Friday.

In the 24-hour period ending at 8.30am on Friday, IMD Colaba observatory recorded 116mm rainfall and Santacruz 119mm. Northern suburbs like Dahisar (237mm), Borivli (194mm), Vasai (138mm), Thane (166mm) and Dahanu (224mm) saw much intense rainfall. The good news, however, came in from the catchment areas as each lake got over 100mm rainfall and hold stock over 70% capacity.

Just a few days ago the water reservoirs were at 55% and there was a 10% cut in water supply all across the city. Now that supply will be restored as per municipal policies.
